Jizzle James’ Bizarre Instagram Feud With Teammate Emerged Shortly Before Cincinnati Dismissal Announcement

Cincinnati's Jizzle James was dismissed amid an Instagram feud with a teammate, exposing summer tensions. Coach confirms personal issues.

Jizzle James thought his biggest challenge would be stepping up as Cincinnati’s starting point guard. Instead, he found himself publicly feuding with teammates on social media before learning his college basketball career was over.

The Instagram drama that unfolded on Tuesday revealed months of tension that had been building inside the Bearcats program, ultimately leading to his dismissal from the team.

How Did Jizzle James’ Instagram Drama Expose the Team’s Issues?

The social media conflict began when James decided to make private tensions public. During the summer break, he had been posting concerning messages on Instagram that raised questions about his commitment to the program. The situation reached a breaking point when he shared private text message screenshots between himself and new teammate Sencire Harris.

The screenshots revealed heated exchanges between the two players that showed the friction within the locker room. In one message, Harris confronted James directly, writing: “If you going to come at me n***, come correct, watch who you talking to”

Rather than keeping the conflict private, James escalated the situation by posting his own comment on the screenshot. He wrote: “Reason Ian come back to school honestly, these n***** so p****.”

The public outburst surprised Cincinnati fans and exposed deeper issues within the program. Throughout the summer, James had been absent from several team activities, which had already raised doubts about his dedication to the Bearcats.

Head coach Wes Miller made the dismissal official Tuesday with a direct statement that clarified the timeline of events. Miller explained the situation without going into extensive detail:

“Jizzle James has been dealing with personal issues throughout the summer. We removed him from the team last month. He is currently not a member of our basketball program. As this is a personal matter, I will have no further comment at this time.”

Miller’s statement revealed that James was removed from the team last month, which means his dismissal occurred before the public Instagram conflict with Harris. The social media dispute likely happened after James had already been kicked off the program, explaining his frustration and public criticism of his former teammates.

How Will Cincinnati Replace Their Leading Scorer?

James was Cincinnati’s most important offensive weapon during the 2024-25 season. He started all 35 games at point guard and led the Bearcats in scoring with 12.7 points per game as a sophomore. His departure creates a significant hole in the team’s offensive production.

Beyond his on-court contributions, James brought name recognition to the program as the son of NFL Hall of Fame running back Edgerrin James. That connection provided Cincinnati with additional visibility and recruiting advantages that will be difficult to replace.

Now the Bearcats must find ways to replace their top scorer’s production. The team will likely turn to guards Kerr Kriisa, Day Day Thomas, and Keyshuan Tillery to fill the scoring void left by James’ departure. The coaching staff faces the challenge of redistributing offensive responsibilities while building chemistry with a revamped backcourt rotation.
