After just one season with Kansas State, PJ Haggerty is entering the NCAA transfer portal. The guard will be looking for his fifth college team as he enters his senior year.
Haggerty is coming off an impressive year with the Wildcats. He started 31 games for Kansas State this season, averaging 23.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.

According to On3, Haggerty has decided to enter the NCAA transfer comes after just one year at Kansas State.

Haggerty enjoyed a dominant year with Kansas State, but couldn’t improve the team’s fortunes in the Big 12 Conference. The Wildcats finished 15th in the Big 12 with a 12-20 record and missed out on a spot in the men’s basketball NCAA Tournament once again.
For his performances, Haggerty was named the Big 12 Transfer of the Year and an honorable mention for the All-American team by the Associated Press.

It is set to be a summer of change at Kansas State, with Haggerty joining Abdi Bashir Jr., Stephen Osei, Exavier Wilson, and David Castillo in entering the transfer portal.
Haggerty has averaged 20+ points in each of the last three seasons. He started his college career with the TCU Horned Frogs, playing only six games in a redshirt year. In his freshman year with Tulsa, he averaged 21.2 points per game and was named the AAC Freshman of the Year.
The Texas native continued to thrive with his scoring touch after transferring to the Memphis Tigers for his sophomore year. He averaged 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.8 steals per game in Memphis and was named the AAC Player of the Year.
After just one season in Memphis, Haggerty was on the move once again. He joined Kansas State with high expectations and certainly made an impact on an individual level, even if he wasn’t able to lead the team to success. As he now looks for a fifth school in five years, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Haggerty.
The NCAA basketball transfer portal opened on Tuesday and will close on April 21, giving teams a 15-day window to make roster changes ahead of next season.
