IU Indy is an NCAA Division I men’s basketball team in the Horizon League, which includes Wright State, Robert Morris, and Oakland. However, they ranked as the worst team in the Horizon League with a conference record of 3-17 and an overall record of 7-25.
Despite their poor record, junior guard D’Augustino was a star. In 30 games played with the team, he averaged 18.5 points, 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.
He also shot the ball extremely well from the field (53.1%) and 3-point range (39.4%), earning Third-Team All-Horizon League honors.
Prior to his time at IU Indy, D’Augustino spent two seasons at West Liberty, a school in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) that includes Fairmont State, Wheeling, and Charleston.
