When the Duke Blue Devils took on the Texas Longhorns to start the season, it also began the ‘Proud Dad’ era for two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, as his twin sons, Cameron and Cayden, play for the Blue Devils. That is already an accomplishment worth praise, but both players are projected to go in the first round of the upcoming NBA Draft, so there will be much more for Dad to cheer for.
Cameron Boozer Throws It Down
Today, we will focus on Cameron, who contributed in several ways, helping Duke pull off a nice 75-60 victory. Boozer had 15 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, three steals, and a block. However, it was one play he made that caught the attention of everyone, including his dad.
Carlos Boozer was loving this dunk from his son, Cameron 💪

The fans were loving this too, as one said, “Dad of the year right there”, and another complimented Boozer, calling this a “proud-dad moment” as shown below. While the attention turned to dad, if Boozer continues to play like this, he will put himself in a great position to hear his name called first in the Draft, as mentioned earlier.
Man this is such a proud-dad moment 🔥 Cameron got bounce fr

One fan referred to LeBron James, claiming that “Boozer is a top 10 player ever and both his kids are better than him. Lebron has to be so jealous”, while that may be a hot take, we love to see fans getting excited about the players who work so hard to create these moments. Even brands are trying to associate their name with Boozers, after just one game, albeit an impressive performance.
What a dunk! Carlos’s reaction is everything. Cameron’s bringing that serious purple energy to the court! 💜🏀

There is no indication that he is working with Purple Bitcoin to this point, but this is one of many doors he may have opened with such a stellar performance. Look for Boozer and the Blue Devils to be back in action on Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium, when they welcome West Carolina in, and the crowd will surely be rowdy after seeing the way the boys showed up for their opener in Charlotte.
This will be a special game, as it will be the first game for both Boozer brothers in front of the Duke fans at Cameron Indoor Stadium, and I am certain that Carlos will be courtside once again to cheer them on.
