College Basketball World Reacts to Arkansas Getting ‘Absolutely Screwed’ by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee

Arkansas will find itself on the road again in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and some people are complaining about it.

The Arkansas Razorbacks have found themselves on the road a lot lately.

It happens again: the Razorbacks will have to go to the West Coast to play Hawai’i in a first-round West Regional game at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore., in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

NCAA World Reacts to Arkansas’ NCAA Tournament Seeding

With Arkansas placed where it was in the NCAA Tournament, there are many in the NCAA world who are not pleased.

Random SEC’s account on X, which calls itself the BEST place on the Internet for SEC content, posted, “Arkansas got absolutely SCREWED in this bracket. Oof.”

Random SEC’s account on X, though, wasn’t done making comments about how Arkansas was treated by the NCAA Men’s Basketball Selection Committee.

In another post, the account posted, “How does Arkansas get rewarded for winning the SEC championship? Having less days of rest than any other team, having to play a good Hawaii team and then (if they win) one of the best teams in the field in Wisconsin. Not to mention all in Portland. ROUGH draw for the hogs, but you gotta go through it to win it.”

Fox Sports Radio host Aaron Torres posted on X about the Arkansas situation.

Torres posted, “So Arkansas played on Sunday, has to fly cross-country and play on Thursday. And if they advance to the next weekend, have to fly back to the West Coast for the second weekend. Yeah, no one’s gonna get more screwed than that”.

William Galloway, who says on his X account that he’s a two-time graduate of Arkansas and is currently involved in communications/PR and athletics at Mountain Brook Schools, shared his thoughts. Galloway wrote, “Cal will be sure to complain about it”.

Evan Kamikow, who works on “Pig Trail Nation” for KNWA & Fox 24 News, posted an interview he did with Arkansas’ DJ Wagner on his X account.

“‘We’re just happy to be able to get this, be able to call ourselves champions… There’s still more work to do.’,” Kamikow posted. “DJ Wagner has had a long road to get where he is today. After leaving Kentucky with Coach Calipari, he now has an SEC title to his legacy at Arkansas.”

Arkansas, 26-8 overall, will go up against a Hawai’i team that’s 24-8 overall.

And Arkansas fans might still have a thing or two to say about how the Razorbacks were treated by the NCAA Men’s Tournament Selection Committee.
