How Old Is NBC Sports’ Super Bowl 60 Reporter Melissa Stark?

While Stark continues to deliver strong work on the air, she is not always holding a microphone. Away from broadcasting, she spends time with her family.

Stark, who was born Nov. 11, 1973, is 52 years old. She is married to her husband, Mike, and they have four children. The family resides in New Jersey.

Her work during NFL games for NBC is not her first involvement with league broadcasts. While at ESPN, Stark was the sideline reporter for ABC’s “Monday Night Football,” working alongside Al Michaels and the late John Madden. She also reported from the sidelines at Super Bowl 37 in January 2003.

In addition to NFL coverage, Stark appeared on ESPN programs such as “NFL Countdown,” “SportsCenter,” and “Outside the Lines.” Before joining ESPN, she began her broadcasting career with Home Team Sports. Her first assignment for ESPN was hosting “Scholastic Sports America,” where she interviewed high school athletes.

Stark later became a familiar presence on NFL Network. She won one of her three Sports Emmys for her work on “NFL 360” at NFL Network, where she worked from 2011 to 2024. Her other two Sports Emmys came from NBC Sports’ NFL playoff coverage in January 2025 and NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

At NFL Network, Stark also hosted the NFL Draft red carpet coverage, conducted interviews at the NFL Honors ceremony, and served as a sideline reporter for international game broadcasts.

Between 2003 and 2007, Stark worked for NBC News, covering three Olympic Games, including serving as an anchor for MSNBC’s coverage of the Beijing 2008 Olympics. She was also an NBC Sports correspondent for speed skating and the opening ceremony in Torino in 2006, and she reported on swimming and diving events in Athens in 2004.

Stark has built her career through a wide range of assignments. She will be back on the sidelines during Super Bowl 60, when the New England Patriots face the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
