The Las Vegas Raiders will begin their upcoming season with general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll, ushering in a new era after several challenging seasons. One of their first major moves was securing a long-term contract extension for star defensive end Maxx Crosby.

Maxx Crosby Shows Love for His Family After Signing New Raiders Contract
Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension with $91.5 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. The deal keeps him with the Raiders through at least 2029, with an annual salary of $35.5 million.
Throughout the process, his wife, Rachel Crosby, and daughter, Ella Rose Crosby, were by his side. On signing day, the family took a photo together, which Maxx Crosby reshared on X with a two-word caption:
“My Universe. 🖤.”

After the contract extension, Rachel Crosby also shared a message for him on Instagram:
“Earned, not given. You are relentless. Proud is an understatement. Ella & I love you so much 🖤🦅.”
The couple has been together since their college days. They first met in 2016 at Eastern Michigan University, where Maxx Crosby played football and Rachel Crosby played soccer. On Oct. 13, 2022, they welcomed their daughter, and they married on March 4, 2023.
Crosby’s Impact on the Raiders
Maxx Crosby has been one of the league’s most dominant pass rushers over the past six seasons, recording 59.5 sacks while consistently being in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year.
“I’ve said it a million times, I feel like I was meant to be a Raider,” Maxx Crosby said during a news conference on March 5. “I love being here. I love the people. You look at all the legends that created what this brand is, and that’s winning.
“Ted Hendricks, Marcus Allen, Charles Woodson — the guys like that that I look up to. That’s what I want to solidify, and those guys are all about winning.”
Spytek also praised Maxx Crosby’s dedication and leadership.
“I told him last night, ‘This is not for what you’ve done, but for what you’re about to do.’ He’s chasing championships, and so are we.”
Raiders Lock in Their Star
Other NFL teams were reportedly prepared to pursue Maxx Crosby if he hadn’t signed an extension with the Raiders. However, now that the deal is finalized, Las Vegas has solidified one of its core players as it looks to build a more competitive roster.
With a new front office and coaching staff in place, the Raiders are finally starting to take shape as they prepare for the 2025 season.
