Rumors about Crosby’s future have been swirling for a while now as the Raiders weigh their options in the trade market. The defensive end is reportedly unhappy with the state of the franchise, which increases the odds he’ll play elsewhere next season.
“It is a big week for the Raiders and Maxx Crosby, who have been having conversations about his future,” NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported. “If there is a time to discuss a trade, it is this week here in Indianapolis. It is no secret that Crosby has been frustrated by the constant turnover and change in Las Vegas; [he’s also] frustrated by the way last season ended, when the Raiders shut him down with two games to go.”

Talks have already taken place, with plenty of teams showing interest in one of the most feared pass rushers in pro football. While there’s still a lot to be done before a trade could be satisfied, things are certainly moving in the right direction for a blockbuster move.
“We also know the Raiders have made some efforts to have talks with Crosby,” Pelissero added. “He had coffee recently with coach Klint Kubiak, but there are fences to be mended here, and everybody has to decide what the proper course of action is moving forward. The fact that the other 31 teams are in Indianapolis this week allows multiple things.”
While the Raiders are guaranteed to put up a fight to retain the pass rusher, powerhouse teams will be lurking. Super Bowl contenders like the LA Rams, Denver Broncos, and Buffalo Bills could get over the hump by adding a defensive end like Crosby (95.3 PFSN EDGE Impact).
