The deal cannot become official until the start of the new NFL league year, but it already stands as one of the boldest moves of the offseason. Baltimore made the aggressive push to strengthen a pass rush that struggled last season, while the Raiders gained valuable draft capital as they moved toward a potential roster rebuild.
Crosby arrived in Baltimore just one year after signing a three-year, $106.5 million extension with Las Vegas, making the trade even more significant financially and strategically for both franchises. And after the trade announcement, Crosby shared a heartfelt message for Raiders Nation.
“Ever since I’ve been here, I’ve had one goal and one mission and that’s to become the best version of myself and help bring a championship back to the Raider organization,” Crosby said. “I feel like I left everything I had on the table for this team. I’ve given my heart and soul, and I feel like I let you all down. Ever since Day One, I’ve wanted to create and build a winner with the Raiders.”
He added, “I’m going there with one purpose, and that’s to help this team get to where it ultimately needs to be and where everybody wants to go, and that’s winning the Super Bowl.” Crosby said, “I know it’s going to be very difficult. I know there’s no guarantees in this, but I’m going to give everything in my heart and soul to bring a championship to Baltimore.” And added more through his 13-minute farewell talk.
Reacting to his message, NFL World shared their views on X. NFL news writer Arye Pulli wrote on X, “Maxx Crosby bids Las Vegas a 13-minute farewell to everyone from the Raiders’ ownership to the team chefs.” He added, “Class act.”
Apart from that, nine-year NFL veteran Will Compton shared his view on X after Crosby sent a message. He wrote, “Go be great, brother 🖤.” Compton and Crosby have played together for the Raiders in 2019 and 2021.
But Chase Daniels’ reaction was different. He wrote, “Maxx starting his media career early. Love it.” The newly added Ravens edge has been doing podcasts for a while, which makes former NFL veteran Daniels excited.
NFL Podcaster Bobby Trosset, who covers the Ravens, rewrote what Crosby said about the Ravens.
