The NFL community raved about a viral video of legendary Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning’s son, Marshall. The young prodigy seems to be following not only his dad’s footsteps but also his whole family’s. As yet another name in a long line of quarterbacks, Marshall aims to throw passes in the NFL one day, just like his father, uncle, grandfather, and likely his cousin.
What did the NFL world make of his viral video?
NFL World Reacts to Peyton Manning’s Son Marshall Throwing Passes
Marshall Manning was filmed making throws in practice, and it didn’t take long for the tape to turn heads around the NFL. With his grandfather Archie, his uncle Eli, his dad, Peyton, and his cousin Arch, all famous quarterbacks, Marshall looks to continue the Manning dynasty in the NFL, which already has four Super Bowls.
Reactions to his tape online largely compared him to his father, who won two Super Bowls with two teams in the league.
NFL media figures and players poured in with their takes.

“NEW: Peyton Manning’s son Marshall can absolutely RIP the football,” College Transfer Portal tweeted. “Marshall is only 14 years old.”
“After seeing this tape it’s no surprise why the Browns want to trade for 1st round picks that are 5 years away,” Polymarket Football posted. “Marshall Manning is coming.”
Teams might not realistically be planning for Marshall yet, but it will nonetheless be an interesting storyline to follow for the next decade. The young star’s first priority will be the top quarterback position at his high school, then he’ll aim for a college scholarship, which shouldn’t be hard to come by given his notable talent and name.
“The prophecy was written. Marshall Manning will be drafted by the Colts and restore balance to the franchise,” SportsAfterDark co-host CLew wrote.
“I love how he didn’t post over training videos of the throw they are forced to make the least,” former wideout Torrey Smith tweeted.
As evidenced in training clips, his father is investing significant time and effort in shaping his son into a potential star.

“I love seeing videos like this,” Full Press NFL’s George Carmi posted. “It’s subtle, but Peyton is snapping him the ball and playing defense. Marshall is getting elite coaching as a 14 year old. His footwork/handoff is a carbon copy of his dad.”
“Saw him at a 7on7 tourney in Panama City a few weeks ago,” “Doak Talk” host C.J. Wilson wrote. “Kid can spin it.”
With the fate of the Manning dynasty potentially resting on his shoulders in the distant future, it’ll be fascinating to see how Marshall’s career pans out.
