It’s been an entertaining game on Sunday Night Football between the New York Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs. With some wild plays, nice catches, and a few turnovers, the Chiefs took control of the lead right before halftime and have no intention of giving up that lead. Whoever loses will drop to 0-3 and could be the killer blow to their seasonal hopes early on in the season.
The Giants need to get their star Malik Nabers involved after a quiet start on primetime, but he suffered an injury in the game against the Chiefs.
Malik Nabers Injury Update
Nabers went up for a jump ball early in the fourth quarter on a third down and stayed down with an apparent shoulder injury after the play. He didn’t come up with the ball, and while he jumped for it, he collided with safety Bryan Cook, leaving both players shaken up.

Nabers shortly returned to the game, which was a massive boost for the team and the fanbase.
Nabers has been heavily covered and watched by the Kansas City defense. He doesn’t have a single catch through almost three quarters. The Giants need Nabers to catch fire if they want any chance of coming back to steal this game from the Chiefs.
Russell Wilson tried to find him in the end zone late in the first half, but Jaylen Watson intercepted the pass.

Nabers has been working to try to get himself open, but it’s been to no avail. He wasn’t getting any action until he got shaken up in the fourth quarter. The Giants’ offense flowed through Cam Skattebo today, as Wilson struggled, completing nine of 15 passes for just 70 yards and two interceptions. Nabers’s being a non-factor is a complete surprise after the start of the season that he has gotten off to.
Fantasy Impact of Malik Nabers’ Injury
It had been a very quiet night for Nabers and the entire Giants’ offense. The elite wide receiver didn’t catch his first pass until the fourth quarter, marking it the latest point in a game for Nabers’ first reception in his young career. Nevertheless, better days are undoubtedly ahead. We saw his upside last week when he torched the Cowboys for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
If Nabers had missed time due to his injury, the Giants would have been in even more dire straits than they are now. Behind their top guy, they possess one of the weakest wide receiver rooms.
