In the first prime-time game of his career, how should you bet Green Bay Packers TE Luke Musgrave’s player props tonight?
A second-round pick drafted out of Oregon State, the rookie tight end had more targets last week than in his first two games combined. Does this mean he will be as involved in the passing game tonight, even if Christian Watson is back?
Musgrave will compete against a fellow rookie tight end, who was also drafted in the second round, in Sam LaPorta. Tight ends usually aren’t immediate contributors, but both rookies have been making an early impact.
LaPorta leads all tight ends in receiving yards with 186, but Musgrave isn’t too far behind with 124, seventh-most at the position.
Although he saw his role increase last week, they were trailing 17-0 entering the fourth quarter, and Musgrave has yet to find the end zone this season. Even if the Packers are fully healthy on offense tonight, will this be the game when Musgrave gets his first career touchdown?
Let’s take a look at the odds as well as his other player props for this evening.

Musgrave Betting Trends and Stats
Among the 14 tight ends with at least 15 targets through three weeks so far this season, Musgrave has the 11th-best target share in the red zone. He ranks only ahead of Dallas Goedert, Tyler Higbee, and Evan Engram.
Musgrave Best Bet
It’s just a three-week sample size, but the Lions have surrendered the most receiving yards to tight ends this season, including 74 more yards than the next worst team. This comes despite playing against the Kansas City Chiefs without Travis Kelce.
Musgrave currently leads all tight ends in average depth of target (aDOT) at 13.7 and is fourth in air yards (96).

If Watson returns, it could diminish Musgrave’s role in the passing game, but they might bring him along slowly after missing the first three weeks. If you like his over, DraftKings is giving you three yards of value compared to FanDuel at the moment.
Musgrave’s Best Bet: Lean over 35.5 receiving yards (-125 at DraftKings)
