While some areas in the draft might be weaker, that is not the case for wide receivers. So that means the combine is extra important, especially for Louisville wide receiver Chris Bell. If Bell has a great combine, there is a chance that he goes way higher than many predict.
Chris Bell’s Scouting Report and NFL Draft Projection
Here is Bell’s scouting report from PFSN’s Mock Draft Simulator. “Scouting report: Chris Bell has a profile that NFL teams continually fawn over each and every cycle. At 6’2″, 227 pounds, with 32” arms and likely 4.4 speed, Bell brings a tantalizing mix of lean mass, play strength, playmaking range, short-area quickness, and long-strider explosion to the fold.
“His physical profile is dominating, and it enables him to contend in 1-on-1 situations on the vertical plane, as well as accrue devastating volumes of RAC with speed and contact balance.
“The physical potential is where the appeal starts with Bell, but there’s promising operational utility present on film as well. Bell has shown he can off-set DBs with fast feet and efficiency on releases and at stems.
“He can cut tight angles on breaks for his size, and he’s a reliable hands-catcher over the middle. Bell is a deadly three-level threat in the making, but his medical situation is a source of uncertainty.
“He tore his ACL late in the 2025 season, but it was a clean tear with minimal ligament damage, and he had successful surgery. He won’t be able to test or take part in pre-draft activities, and his early-season availability may be in question, but as long as Bell is on track to a full recovery, he holds merit as a potential Top 50 pick with explosive movement-Z upside.”
PFSN’s most recent seven-round 2026 mock draft has Bell getting drafted by the Buffalo Bills at pick 60.
“Listed at 6’2″ and 220 pounds, Chris Bell is a freak athlete for his size with the raw speed and strength to be a potential force at wide receiver. He falls a little bit due to a thin route tree and a season-ending injury, but one could argue that Bell has the highest ceiling among wide receivers in the 2026 NFL Draft.”
The Bills also have a lot of question marks at receiver, so getting Bell, who has a lot of upside, could be a move that could take the Bills to the next level in the NFL. Bills Josh Allen’s amazing arm could get the best out of Bell.
