How To Listen to Vikings-Falcons: Radio Stations, Date, Time, More for Week 2 SNF Game

Here are the options fans in Atlanta and Minnesota will have when the Falcons take on the Vikings on Sunday Night Football in Week 2.

J.J. McCarthy is starting his career with the Minnesota Vikings by running through a gauntlet of his fellow first-round quarterbacks. After going up against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in his debut, the encore is arriving in the form of Michael Penix Jr. and the Atlanta Falcons in another standalone game, this time on Sunday Night. Ready to make his debut in Minnesota, the fan base will be hoping to register its second win of the season.

However, the Falcons are going to present a unique challenge. In their first game, Penix looked electric throughout the night, almost stealing a win from a potential Super Bowl contender in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Unfortunately, their night ended in heartbreak, making it an even tougher battle for the Vikings as Atlanta comes into the game desperately needing a win. Here’s how fans can catch the action.

Radio Stations for Falcons vs. Vikings

Atlanta Falcons Radio

The away team is going to have the tough task of defeating a momentum-laden Vikings squad. It’s going to be doubly difficult for the Falcons as they try to regroup after a brutal loss to the Buccaneers.

The fan base can listen to 92.9 The Game (WZGC/FM) on the Falcons broadcast network to catch all the action. Wes Durham serves as the play-by-play announcer, while franchise legend Dave Archer wears the color commentator hat.

A collegiate legend, Durham was the play-by-play announcer for Georgia Tech, both on the gridiron and the basketball court, for close to 15 seasons, beginning in 1995-96. Nearly a decade into his run, in 2004, he took on the role for the Falcons.

Since then, he’s spent nearly two decades with the organization, becoming a genuine Atlanta legend. Archer, on the other hand, spent four of his six seasons in the NFL with the Falcons. Coincidentally, he joined the color commentator role at the same time as Durham took on play-by-play announcing duties in 2004.

Minnesota Vikings Radio

For fans looking to tune into the Vikings broadcast network, the major options available to them are KFAN (100.3-FM), KTLK 1130-AM, and the five-state Vikings Audio Network. A total of 70 affiliates across the Upper Midwest provide audio coverage of the matchup.

With kickoff scheduled at 8:20 p.m., the pregame broadcast will start at 6 p.m., with Paul Allen taking on the role of play-by-play announcer, alongside Pete Bercich as the studio analyst, and Ben Leber handling the sideline reporter role.

Allen, the voice of the Vikings since 2002, has held the role for over two decades and has become synonymous with the franchise. Bercich is another name that bleeds Minnesota. A seven-year career with the organization served as a precursor to his time as a coach for four seasons.

Handling everything from quality control to linebackers, Bercich joined the broadcasting booth in 2007 and hasn’t looked back since. Leber is the most recent addition to the trio, as the former linebacker spent half of his 10 seasons in the NFL with the Vikings.

After announcing his retirement in 2012, he eventually took on the role of a sideline reporter for his former team’s broadcast network.
