Lions Rookie Reveals Bold Plan To Tease Packers Fans After Amon-Ra St. Brown’s Viral Celebration in 2023

Detroit Lions rookie shares that he plans to follow in Amon-Ra St. Brown's footsteps and target Green Bay Packers fans.

When Amon-Ra St. Brown leaped into the Lambeau Field stands after scoring against Green Bay, he created more than just a memorable moment. He inspired a rookie teammate who’s already planning his own dive into enemy territory. Isaac TeSlaa wants to follow St. Brown’s lead and troll Packers fans the same way, setting up what could be one of the season’s most entertaining storylines.

What Makes Isaac TeSlaa’s Lambeau Leap Plan So Bold?

St. Brown has been among the best wide receivers in the NFL since the Detroit Lions selected him in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He has reached the Pro Bowl in each of the past three seasons, while receiving first-team All-Pro honors the past two years. He has recorded 4,851 receiving yards and 33 touchdowns on 430 receptions, while adding 186 rushing yards and one touchdown on 22 carries.

His production earned him a four-year, $120 million contract extension that includes $77 million in guaranteed money. St. Brown has appeared in eight games against the Green Bay Packers, recording 47 receptions for 481 yards and three touchdowns. His 2023 touchdown against Detroit’s NFC North rivals made headlines as he did the infamous ‘Lambeau Leap.’

Now TeSlaa wants to follow in his teammate’s footsteps by jumping into the rival crowd. The rookie is no stranger to Detroit’s rivalry with the Packers, as he grew up a die-hard Lions fan in the state of Michigan. The third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft recently appeared on the “Up & Adams” show, where he shared his plan to troll the rival fanbase, stating:

“I think if I can find a little muddle of Lions fans, which I’m sure the stadium will probably be half Lions fans anyways, so if I can find a little pocket. I know Amon-Ra or [Jahmyr] Gibbs or someone did it like last year and he got beer poured on him.”

After host Kay Adams claimed visiting players should be fined if they ‘Lambeau Leap,’ TeSlaa responded:

“You think so? I think that’s a terrible rule. Alright, I’m going to do it just to spite you now.”

Can TeSlaa Actually Pull Off His Lambeau Leap Dream?

TeSlaa will, of course, have to find the end zone to attempt the ‘Lambeau Leap.’ It is unclear how much playing time he will receive in his rookie season. St. Brown and Jameson Williams will certainly be Detroit’s top two wide receivers.

The rookie will likely look to overtake Tim Patrick and Kalif Raymond as the Lions’ third wideout. Detroit will visit Lambeau Field to open the season, which makes it less likely that TeSlaa will have the opportunity to take aim at the Green Bay fanbase.

However, Tesla’s confidence and willingness to embrace the rivalry show he’s already thinking like a veteran. His plan to find a pocket of Lions fans in the stands demonstrates he understands the dynamics of playing at Lambeau Field. Plus, his response to Adams about doing it “just to spite” her shows the kind of competitive fire that could serve him well in the NFL.
