How Many Picks Do the Raiders Have in the 2025 NFL Draft?
Currently, the Raiders have seven picks in the 2025 NFL Draft — with all seven being their original selections. To this point, no original selections have been dealt in trades, nor have other selections been added.
The last time Las Vegas had exactly seven picks, evenly spaced out through all seven rounds, was in 2016. That year, the Raiders were still in Oakland, and they drafted safety Karl Joseph in Round 1.
What Are the Raiders’ Biggest Needs in 2025?
Quarterback is Las Vegas’ first and second need. Aidan O’Connell has proven himself as a competent spot starter, and Gardner Minshew is within a similar ilk. But the Raiders don’t have their franchise quarterback. They need to find that player soon.
The expectation is that they will pick within the top half of the first round, at the very least, in 2025. The roster is getting stronger, but there’s still room to keep solidifying certain position groups, and middling QB play could limit the organization’s ceiling.
The silver lining with picking earlier is that Las Vegas wouldn’t have to move up quite as far to get the quarterback it desires. That benefit could be compounded in a 2025 NFL Draft QB class that — at first glance — is not nearly as strong as the 2024 group.

The most popular QB1 candidate thus far in the 2025 NFL Draft cycle is Georgia’s Carson Beck. Beck already has a first-round grade on PFN’s Big Board, and with his arm talent, poise, pocket maneuvering, and anticipation, he could easily grow to become a top-flight passer.
Other QBs who could enter the conversation for the Raiders include Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart, Houston’s Donovan Smith, Penn State’s Drew Allar, Texas A&M’s Conner Weigman, and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
Beyond quarterback, there are other needs for Las Vegas to monitor. On offense, right tackle could remain a need if neither Thayer Munford Jr. nor Delmar Glaze can become a long-term starter. But most of the remaining needs are clustered on the defensive side of the ball.
Clean slates could soon be had at both safety and linebacker, as Tre’von Moehrig, Marcus Epps, Robert Spillane, and Divine Deablo are all scheduled to be free agents after the 2024 season. Stalwart slot cornerback Nate Hobbs is also among them.
The secondary, in particular, remains an area of concern long term for Las Vegas. Hobbs, Moehrig, and Epps would all be notable losses, and the other CB spots aren’t close to locked down.
Jack Jones is a free agent in 2026, and the book is still out on rookie Decamerion Richardson, as well as 2023 fourth-round pick Jakorian Bennett.
