Kirk Cousins spent much of the offseason as the subject of trade rumors. While he joined the Atlanta Falcons on a four-year, $180 million contract with $100 million in guarantees just last offseason, the franchise wound up selecting Michael Penix Jr. as the No. 8 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The four-time Pro Bowler began the season as the starter and led the Falcons to a 7-7 record before the organization decided to turn things over to the rookie quarterback. Cousins threw for 3,508 yards with 18 touchdowns and 16 interceptions while completing 66.9% of his passes. While many considered him a lock to be moved this offseason, that has not been the case as training camp is quickly approaching.
While his days as a starting quarterback may be behind him, Cousins still has plenty to smile about. That includes his two sons, Cooper and Turner. Take a look at what is known about the children of the Falcons quarterback.

Cooper, the oldest of the two, was born in September 2017 and was reportedly 11 days late. He has been seen around NFL locker rooms and has even interviewed several star players, including his dad, former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson. He has also joined his father for several charity events.
Cousins’ younger son, Turner, was born in March 2019. He also enjoys hanging around team facilities and revealed that his favorite song is the theme song for “Peppa Pig.”
Both Cooper and Turner have an affinity for Legos and enjoy shows with the Kratt Brothers. Kirk shared that Cooper built a 598-piece Lego replica of the floating house in the Pixar film “Up” and that Turner built a Lego Batman jet.
Cousins shared that he wanted his career to continue until his sons were old enough to remember it. His wife revealed that both Cooper and Turner have taken an interest in what their father does.
