Yale offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie was dominant on the field throughout his college career. Here's everything to know about Amegadjie.

Yale offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie is a top FCS prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft. While his 2023 campaign was cut short, the Bulldogs’ blocker had already produced enough tape to impress NFL evaluators.

Here’s everything to know about Amegadjie, who has one of the highest ceilings in the offensive line class as a whole.

How Tall Is Kiran Amegadjie?

Amegadjie stands at 6’5 3/8″, putting him in the 45th percentile at the position in direct comparison to his positional counterparts. He has a massive frame with excellent universal frame density and 99th-percentile length.

How Much Does Amegadjie Weigh?

Amegadjie weighs in at 323 pounds, falling in the 76th percentile at his position, and has a strong physical profile. On top of his size and length, he’s a high-level athlete with searing explosiveness, impressive short-area energy, flexibility, and range as a pulling and moving blocker.

How Old Is Amegadjie?

Amegadjie was born Feb. 1, 2022, and is 22 years old.

What School Did Amegadjie Go To?

He grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois, and attended Hinsdale Central High School.

Amegadjie was ranked among the top 300 offensive linemen in the class of 2020 and led his team to 25 wins over three seasons.

Amegadjie was rated a two-star recruit and committed to play college football at Yale over offers from Central Michigan, Indiana State, and Southern Illinois. He spent his entire college career at Yale.

Revisiting Amegadjie’s College Career

Unfortunately, Amegadjie’s freshman season at Yale in 2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, that did not deter his progress.

“It gave me a year to train in a college weight room and learn the playbook,” Amegadjie said. “My mentality was, ‘I am going to do everything possible to learn and grow so when the opportunity comes, I’ll be ready.’”

In 2021, Amegadjie started every game for Yale at right guard before moving to left tackle and locking down the blindside in 2022. He reprised his role as LT in 2023 but saw his season end prematurely in October after suffering a torn quad.

In 2021, he was named an honorable mention All-Ivy League and earned the Charles Loftus Award, donated by the New Haven Gridiron Club, which recognizes the most valuable freshman on the team.

He was a first-team All-Ivy League selection in 2022 and never allowed a sack as a tackle. Following the 2023 season, he declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Amegadjie’s Potential in the NFL

Pro Football Network draft analyst Ian Cummings said Amegadjie looked exactly the way you want early-round prospects to look at the FCS level.

“Amegadjie is still relatively raw from a technical standpoint, but he has one of the highest ceilings in not just the 2024 NFL Draft OT class but the offensive line class as a whole — a class that’s already fully stocked with talented athletes and impactful two-phase blockers,” Cummings wrote.

“As a hand-fighter, Amegadjie is still growing. His placement can still be inconsistent, and he’s still figuring out how to efficiently use the levers at his disposal. But in a small 2023 sample, his footwork, hip leveraging, and upper-lower synergy looked improved, and his mauler mentality makes him a domineering threat at multiple levels.”
