With six more teams on bye in Week 12, fantasy football managers will need to consider potential kicker replacements. Below we take a look at a trio of kickers who would be strong streaming options for needy managers.
Wil Lutz
Denver Broncos (at LV)
Wil Lutz has been on this list a few times in recent weeks but remains rostered in less than 15% of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.
The Denver Broncos kicker infamously had a 35-yard game-winner blocked in Week 10 by the Kansas City Chiefs but has otherwise been excellent on field goals. Lutz is 19-for-22 on field goal attempts this season, with two of those misses coming from beyond 50 yards.
The Las Vegas Raiders allow the third-most fantasy points per game to kickers, and Lutz will receive the benefit of indoor conditions at Allegiant Stadium.
Spencer Shrader
Kansas City Chiefs (at CAR)
Fantasy managers were understandably hesitant to add the unknown Spencer Shrader after Harrison Butker went on injured reserve for the Kansas City Chiefs. Entering Week 12, he’s rostered in just 2% of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.
Shrader is an undrafted rookie but has not missed a kick across three games with three teams this season (he also kicked for the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 and New York Jets in Week 10). He did not attempt a field goal in the Chiefs’ loss to the Buffalo Bills, but hit all three of his extra point attempts.

With the Chiefs kicking field goals at the seventh-highest rate this season thanks to a below-average red-zone offense, any remotely reliable kicker in Kansas City is worth rostering. The Carolina Panthers allow the fifth-most fantasy points per game to kickers this season, making Shrader worth an add.
Joey Slye
New England Patriots (at MIA)
Fantasy managers are understandably hesitant to roster a kicker from one of the worst offenses in the league. However, the New England Patriots’ offensive profile and their matchup in Week 12 make Joey Slye worth a look.
Since Drake Maye became the Patriots starting quarterback in Week 7, New England ranks 10th in field goal attempts per drive. Now they face a Miami Dolphins team allowing the most fantasy points per game to kickers.
Slye is rostered in only 1% of ESPN and Yahoo leagues, making him a terrific deep-league waiver option.
