Keyron Crawford had the time of his life on Friday. The EDGE from Auburn received the call of a lifetime, with the Las Vegas Raiders selecting him with the 67th overall pick of the 2026 draft. In a moment of extreme happiness, his celebration was one of the night’s most curious moments.
NFL World Approves Keyron Crawford’s Celebration After Raiders Pick
Getting drafted is one of the best moments in the life of any prospect, and celebrations often run wild. For Crawford, who was lucky enough to have family and friends next to him, there was no better way to celebrate the moment than a massive dive into a pool.
The video of his celebration was noted by national media. Ian Rapoport, who often breaks news about the league, approved Crawford’s jump into the pool: “Love it.”
Even those inside the organization approved of how Crawford celebrated his selection. Levi Edwards, a digital reporter for the Raiders, wanted to have fun with the moment, writing, “I need someone to turn this dive into a meme TONIGHT.”
Michael Reeves, the Chief Content Officer for Battle Born Preps, noted how Crawford might’ve landed in the perfect spot, saying, “This guy is going to fit in with Las Vegas pretty well.”
Another Raiders reporter, this time Justin Churchill for A to Z Sports, also noted how Crawford was happy with his selection, writing, “Safe to say he’s excited to be a Raider.”
And finally, national reporter Ari Meirov spoke highly of the defender after his selection, noting that his character is an important part of who he is.
Meirov wrote, “The #Raiders will select Auburn DE Keyron Crawford at No. 67. Explosive off the snap, Crawford continues to develop his pass-rush and is regarded highly for his character.”

Our PFSN NFL Draft HQ gave Crawford’s pick a C- grade. He was ranked as No. 102 in our PFSN Big Board, and his scouting report points to him as a rotational player.
“He may never have the sheer size or play strength to play with his hand in the dirt in even-front schemes consistently, but as an odd and hybrid-front rush linebacker and designated pass rusher, he has immediate rotational appeal, and could go on to become a mid-level starting talent.”
Crawford will have the opportunity to learn from Maxx Crosby as he gets up to the speed of the pros. With the Raiders unlikely to be true competitors in 2026, he’ll have time and patience on his side to develop his potential.
