Kenyon Sadiq’s NFL Comparisons: 5 Similar Players Based on the Oregon TE’s Combine Measurements

After a strong showing at the NFL Scouting Combine, who are the players most similar to Kenyon Sadiq from previous draft classes?

With the Kansas City Chiefs’ dynasty coming to an end as they missed the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era, the NFL seems more wide open than it ever has in recent memory. As a result, a myriad of teams are hoping to make major upgrades this offseason, especially through the draft.

The NFL Scouting Combine, too, had a strong interest from most fanbases in a draft class brimming with talent at virtually every position. The tight end spot, though, is an intriguing one. After the recent success of players like Brock Bowers, Tyler Warren, and Colston Loveland, Kenyon Sadiq is a name many are watching.

Kenyon Sadiq Scouting Report

Playing all three seasons at Oregon, Sadiq saw his numbers and usage gradually increase during his time there. In the end, it culminated in a junior year where he totaled 560 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, while ranking No. in PFSN’s College Football TE Impact Metrics.

As a result, he is the 16th-ranked prospect by PFSN in the entire draft class. At 6’3″ and almost 250 pounds, Sadiq has a hyper-dense, muscular frame, which he combines with elite explosive athleticism, fluidity, and seam-splitting speed.

Oregon often utilized Sadiq’s athleticism in RAC and seam-beating situations, but he also grew as an independent separator, more than once using his quickness to offset or freeze defenders at the stem before surging into space.

At the catch point, Sadiq’s body control is a sight to behold, and he has the composure to hold strong in contact situations. Moreover, Sadiq’s explosiveness and contact balance mix well in the RAC phase, and he’s an extremely impressive blocker for his size, with a high degree of natural leverage, range, physicality, and alignment versatility.

Sadiq can still improve his lower-body strength in-line; Indiana exploited his preference for attack displacement over power resistance. Nevertheless, Sadiq profiles as an immediate two-phase asset in the NFL.

But beyond his raw numbers and measurables, the Scouting Combine gave teams a great chance to get a better feel for the player. And he did not disappoint.

Posting excellent numbers in virtually every category, he had a 4.39 40-yard dash, a 43.5″ vertical jump, and an 11.1″ broad jump. He also recorded 26 bench press reps, a performance sure to have impressed a variety of teams.

Today, we are breaking down five other players from recent draft classes that were extremely similar to the Ducks’ product.

1) Dustin Keller, Purdue, 2008 (81%)

Taken with the 30th overall pick by the New York Jets, Keller spent just five seasons in the league, with an injury in 2012 derailing his career entirely. Putting up 2,876 yards and 17 touchdowns in 72 games, he tried to make a comeback with the Miami Dolphins in 2013. However, one of the most brutal injuries in NFL history, as he tore his ACL, MCL, and PCL, while dislocating his knee, immediately ended his career.

2) Virgil Green, Nevada, 2011 (77%)

Drafted in the seventh round by the Denver Broncos, Green had a long career in the NFL, as he spent nearly a decade between the Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers. The tight ends coach at his alma mater, he was a depth piece throughout his career, accumulating 1,145 yards and seven touchdowns in 137 career games.

3) Noah Fant, Iowa, 2019 (74%)

A first-round pick (No. 20 overall) by the Denver Broncos in 2019, Noah Fant is still going strong in the league, with 3,593 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in 110 career games. Eclipsing the 500-yard mark four separate times in his career, he spent 2025 with the Cincinnati Bengals, where he racked up 288 yards and three touchdowns.

4) Mike Gesicki, Penn State, 2018 (72%)

A second-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2018, Mike Gesicki is still playing in the league and was right above Fant on the Bengals depth chart.

Injuries limited him in 2025, but he has made a strong career for himself with 3,833 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns in 115 games.

5) Vernon Davis, Maryland, 2006 (71%)

Arguably the best player on the list, Vernon Davis was selected sixth overall in the 2006 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. After spending 10 years with the team, he had stints with the Denver Broncos and the Washington Redskins before calling it a career. A two-time Pro Bowler and receiving touchdowns co-leader, he made a living in the end zone, with 63 career touchdowns.

Joining the Broncos for the stretch run in 2015, he played a key role for them, recording 201 yards in nine games en route to a victory in Super Bowl 50.
