Past Super Bowl Halftime Performer Sends Support to Bad Bunny Ahead of Highly Anticipated Performance

Katy Perry, who once headlined the Super Bowl 49 halftime show, expressed support for Bad Bunny ahead of Super Bowl 60.

The Super Bowl 60 matchup between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks is expected to draw significant attention. Even on the NFL’s biggest stage, halftime performer Bad Bunny has already attracted headlines and is likely to continue doing so.

It marks the first Super Bowl halftime performance for Bad Bunny, the most-streamed artist in the world.

Katy Perry Sends Good Wishes to Bad Bunny Ahead of Historic Performance

Winning three Grammy Awards in a single week would be a career highlight for most artists, but for Bad Bunny, it comes as he prepares for a highly anticipated halftime show. The NFL is seeking to broaden its global reach, and featuring an artist as influential as Bad Bunny represents a milestone in connecting with Latin American culture.

Katy Perry, a 13-time Grammy nominee, posted on X and tagged Bad Bunny, writing: “You got this … remind the world what the real American Dream looks like.”

Perry previously headlined a Super Bowl halftime show herself, coincidentally during another Patriots-Seahawks matchup in Super Bowl 49 in Glendale, Arizona. That game is remembered as one of the greatest Super Bowls, highlighted by Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler’s game-clinching interception of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson at the goal line.

Sunday’s contest has been dominated by defense. The Seahawks have managed two field goals, while the Patriots, struggling to generate offensive momentum, have yet to score with four minutes remaining in the first half.

Bad Bunny’s Halftime Performance Information

The show is expected to begin midway through the Super Bowl broadcast, likely between 8 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. ET, depending on game flow.

Halftime performances typically last about 15 minutes, while the full break, including stage setup and removal, runs 20 to 25 minutes. That provides both teams additional time in the locker room and allows producers to stage a full-scale concert.

This year’s headliner carries added historical significance. Bad Bunny will be the first Spanish-language Latin solo artist to headline a Super Bowl halftime show and the first reggaeton artist to lead the mid-game stage.

He previously appeared at the Super Bowl in 2020 as part of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s Miami performance, but this marks his first time as the featured halftime act
