What Is Kam Chancellor’s Net Worth in 2026?

That same energy is expected to show up off the field, when he would fire up the crowd at Lumen Field before the Seahawks’ NFC conference championship showdown with the Los Angeles Rams.

So, to know more about the former star safety, let’s find out what his net worth and career earnings are.

According to Celebrity NetWorth, former NFL safety Chancellor’s net worth is more than $20 million.

Chancellor entered the NFL as an unheralded athlete. Coming out of Virginia Tech, he wasn’t viewed as a future star, so much so that he slid into the 5th round of the 2010 NFL Draft, taken 133rd overall by the Seattle Seahawks.

But from Day 1, the Chancellor made his presence felt. He worked his way into the starting lineup by his second season, becoming a foundation piece of Seattle’s defense.

What Are Seahawks Star Chancellor’s Career Earnings?

Chancellor finished his NFL career with approximately $48.1 million in total earnings from playing for the Seahawks. This sum includes base salaries, signing bonuses, roster bonuses, guarantees, and all cash received under his contracts over his entire time in the league.

According to salary tracking databases, his career earnings are reported as $48,094,881 by Spotrac and $48,171,131 by OverTheCap. Both figures reflect the same general total, so it’s accurate to cite his career earnings as about $48 million.

Across his contracts:

  • His rookie deal (2010)was worth around $2 million total, with a signing bonus of roughly $213,000.
  • In April 2013, Chancellor signed a 4-year, $28 million contract that included about $17 million guaranteed and a $5 million signing bonus.
  • In August 2017, he agreed to a 3-year, $36 million contract extension with $25 million guaranteed.

But due to a career-ending neck injury sustained in 2017, Chancellor never completed the full term of his 2017 extension.

The Seahawks later terminated his contract in May 2019 after he failed a physical. However, because of the guarantees in that deal, substantial money from the extension still counted toward his total career earnings.

But the biggest achievement for him would be the Seahawks’ decision about him for Sunday’s NFC championship game.

Now, the former enforcer is stepping back into the spotlight once more. Chancellor is set to return Sunday as Seattle’s honorary captain for the NFC Championship clash with the Rams, adding a familiar dose of swagger and emotion to an already charged atmosphere.
