Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence’s trade from the New York Giants to the Cincinnati Bengals has sent shockwaves through the NFL. The massive trade affects many teams, including the Giants, who received pick No. 10. With this pick, they could add a potential offensive threat.
Why the Giants Could Target Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson
That player is Arizona State Sun Devils wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, as there are already some connections there. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network said, “As Giants GM Joe Schoen flew to Arizona to attend Jordan Tyson’s workout yesterday. Schoen also had dinner with Tyson the night before.”

Tyson would be such a good fit with the Giants. He would play opposite superstar Malik Nabers. Tyson and Nabers also have similar yet distinct skill sets.
Both are very smooth route runners and can create great separation with ease. So, opposing corners will have to deal with two route technicians.
A lot of Tyson’s best plays as a Sun Devil were being able to get open while his quarterback was scrambling. Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has shown he can be a good runner and create plays while on the move.
So, for Dart to upgrade his game, adding Tyson could be a good way to improve his play extension. A lot of the best quarterbacks in the league are great extenders, such as Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson. So, Tyson could help Dart join that club.
Overall, Tyson is a very good player. According to PFSN’s College WR Impact Metric, Tyson got a B- and ranked 23rd.
This is a very good grade considering how many college players there are. He missed some games due to injury, but he had 11.7 yards per reception.
So, it is established that Tyson would be a very smooth fit into the Giants’ offense. Could the Giants actually get him? Using PFSN’s Mock Draft Simulator and running five simulations, the Giants were able to grab Tyson each and every time, so it is very plausible for New York to get him.
Tyson and Nabers have a combined total age of 43, so New York will have a young, dynamic receiving corps to work with for years to come. In a division featuring the likes of DeVonta Smith, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Terry McLaurin, having Tyson and Nabers in New York can help the Giants keep pace.

Everything sounds great about Tyson joining the Giants, and there are a lot of positives. However, one worry about Tyson is his injury history. However, if Tyson does get hurt, the Giants do have Nabers still on the team.
Overall, drafting Tyson would be a very good move to help the Giants win now and build for the future.
