Devon Witherspoon Praised for Outstanding Play

So far, Witherspoon has recorded two quarterback hits, one sack, and one tackle for loss, prompting many reactions from viewers online.

NFL Insider Jordan Schultz said, “Devon Witherspoon is a menace. The way he navigated the traffic to get the sack is outstanding.”

Another page, jasrifootball, who posts NFL news, said the following after Witherspoon’s stats, “DEVON WITHERSPOON NAVIGATING TRAFFIC FOR THE SACK SEAHAWKS DEFENSE IS FLYING.”

Former NFL head coach and current Barstool employee Jon Gruden says, “Witherspoon is a BAD man!!”

Boston Herald journalist Zack Cox talks about the ingenuity behind the Seahawks’ defense.

He said, “Devon Witherspoon came into today with zero pass-rush snaps this postseason. Seattle’s blitzed him twice already today, and both got home.”

The praise continues to pour in, with Emmanuel Acho saying, Just can’t coach this by Devon Witherspoon. Complete freak!”

NBA radio producer for SiriusXM, Adam Bernstein adds on by saying, “Devon Witherspoon is having a Von Miller-type first quarter.”

With the game being a defensive showing, Football Scout 365 suggests that the Seahawks’ corner should be in the running for Super Bowl MVP.

They say, “Devon Witherspoon is the early Super Bowl MVP. He’s already made two massive plays in the opening quarter of this game.”

Drake Maye has already been sacked multiple times, and the game is only in its first half. Football analyst Andrew Siciliano says, “Patriots have no idea where the blitz is coming from.”

If the Patriots want to win this game, they need to stop giving up sacks and protect Maye. It’s 9-0 to the Seahawks at halftime.

Inversely, Seattle needs to keep the pressure on the sophomore quarterback. The question is, who wants it more?
