The New York Giants are entering a new era of football filled with hope and potential. Despite finishing 4-13, the Giants and their fans have a right to believe in this team. The defensive line is filled with talent, the offense has potential foundational weapons, Jaxson Dart looked like a franchise quarterback at times, and to make it even better, New York just hired an extremely successful head coach, John Harbaugh.
Giants HC John Harbaugh Speaks on the Support of His Family
The Giants are entering the offseason to make this franchise a winner again, and Harbaugh could be the leader to get it done.
Back in 2008, the Baltimore Ravens hired Harbaugh, and since then, the coach has been ingrained in Baltimore and never left, well, until this offseason. This was a massive change for Harbaugh, leaving behind everything he had worked for in Baltimore and being thrown into a sea of the unknown. This could be horrible to deal with alone, but the good news for Harbaugh is that he seems to have a great support system to help him.
In today’s introductory press conference for the Giants and Harbaugh, the new head coach was asked about the support that his wife, Ingrid, gave during this process of moving on from Baltimore.” It’s incredible, we’ve have been together for a long time. This profession is crazy. You live a lifetime in a season in the National Football League,” Harbaugh said.
“The things you go through, the ups and the downs, the emotional rollercoaster, and the conversations and challenges. These players can tell you, everybody who works here can tell you that. It’s not just you, it’s your family. Your wife is with you every step of the way and more”.
“I have the most amazing wife and the most incredible daughter”

Later in the video, Harbaugh also said that his wife has told him she has had to fend off his critics, “she will tell me, ‘you’re not out there, you’re not out there hearing it every single day, you get to go to your office, and you don’t have to listen to anything.’ She’s out there, she’s fighting, she’s out there fending them off.”
While joking a bit, Harbaugh clearly knows and values the support system that got him to this point. Time will tell if Harbaugh can find the success he had in Baltimore with the Giants, but as of now, it seems something special is being built in New York.
