You might’ve heard that the Cincinnati Bengals are 0-2. Chances are you also might’ve heard that Joe Burrow tweaked his right calf late in the fourth quarter in yesterday’s 27-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Through the first two weeks, it has been a nightmare start to the season for the Bengals.
This afternoon, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor spoke to the media on Burrow’s status for next week, which seems uncertain at the moment.
When it was reported at the time that Burrow wasn’t expected to miss any games after injuring his calf in training camp, there was still a looming concern that it could easily be aggravated. Now, after just two weeks, with the Bengals 0-2 for the second season in a row, it looks like that might’ve happened already.
With Burrow’s status uncertain for next week, how have the oddsmakers adjusted the betting lines for the Rams vs. Bengals game on Monday Night Football next week?

Joe Burrow Injury Update: Rams vs. Bengals Betting Lines Movement
When the NFL Week 3 betting lines opened on Sunday night, the Bengals were 6.5-point favorites in a Super Bowl 56 rematch against the Rams on Monday night. Given how poorly the Bengals have played, the early reports around Burrow, and the Rams playing better than expected so far this season, that line seemed off to many.
As of writing this at 3:30 p.m. ET on Monday afternoon, the Bengals’ spread has dropped considerably.
At multiple sportsbooks, such as DraftKings, Caesars, and PointsBet, to name a few, the Bengals are now just 2-point favorites, which is a 4.5-point swing from its opening odds last night in less than 24 hours.
Only a major injury to a star quarterback could cause such a massive shift in the odds that quickly. It’s still early in the week, however, so expect to hear more on Burrow’s status for Monday night in the coming days.
