The NFL world, plus fans of Major League Baseball, are familiar with Joe Buck, the sports broadcaster. But, as famous as Buck is, his wife, Michelle Beisner-Buck, has seen quite a bit of attention lately as she was the victim of a pretty unfortunate golfing accident. Who is Beisner-Buck and what happened on that fateful day?
Explaining Joe Buck and Michelle Beisner-Buck’s Golf Accident
Michelle Beisner-Buck, Joe Buck’s soulmate, also happens to be a former NFL cheerleader and co-worker of his on Monday Night Football broadcasts. Beisner-Buck got her start as a pit reporter on the Champ Car World Series on ESPN. She was also the host of “The Turbo Tour” on the Speed Channel.
Like her husband, Beisner-Buck had a stint with FOX. She was a feature and field reporter for the “Best Damn Sports Show Period” on FOX Sports Net and worked with NFL Total Access on the NFL Network.
Before her broadcasting career, Beisner-Buck’s first experience with the NFL was with the Denver Broncos as a cheerleader. The two got married in April 2014 — a time when Buck was still with FOX, and she was just joining ESPN. Beisner-Buck shares twin boys with the longtime analyst.
Now, both can be seen as part of the MNF coverage, with Beisner-Buck handling pregame feature angles.
But, what about the famous golfing incident?
The accident occurred while Beisner-Buck and Buck were in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on July 7. Apparently, Beisner-Buck attempted to perform a headstand outside the tee box as Buck was working on his long game.
With her body positioned in the shape of a capitalized T, Beisner-Buck’s ankle was elevated, placing it in range of a Buck shot. Buck fired the golf ball toward the fairway. His effort immediately collided with Beisner-Buck’s right ankle, shattering the bone.
After Adam Schefter shared the news with his more than 11 million social media followers, the couple decided to reveal exactly what happened on that fateful day in a social post of their own.
“Here’s the truth Adam Schefter the whole truth and nothing but the guilt-ridden brutal truth! My wife is one amazing, tough woman. And she has not for one second pinned this on me. Or added to my mental load. While I have. Fluke stuff. Probably lucky it wasn’t worse!” Buck wrote.

“Needless to say, my guilt is off the charts. I wake up still in the middle of the night hearing that sound and it makes me sick,” the broadcaster added.
Beisner-Buck spent six weeks in a hard cast and nearly three weeks in a boot. In addition to the impact fracture, she also suffered damage to her tibial nerve. She went under the knife to clear up the nerve damage on Sept. 11.
