Colorado wide receiver prospect Jimmy Horn Jr. was playing alongside top NFL prospects Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders in 2024. But while his two teammates are likely to be picked near the top of the NFL Draft, Horn will enter the league needing to prove his worth.
Unlikely to be picked in the opening two days of the NFL Draft, Horn will look to follow in the footsteps of Puka Nacua and Victor Cruz, who became stars once already in the league.
Note: All NFL player measurements were taken from Stathead.

How Tall Is Jimmy Horn Jr.?
Horn measures 5’8 1/8″, which would put him at the short end of NFL receivers. Only one receiver shorter than 5’8″ caught 20+ passes in the NFL last season, and that was Arizona Cardinal Greg Dortch.
What Does Horn Weigh?
At 174 pounds, Horn would also, unsurprisingly, be one of the lighter receivers in the NFL. That weight is roughly the same as both Dortch and Baltimore Ravens receiver Zay Flowers, with Flowers being an inch taller and Dortch an inch shorter.
How Old Is Horn?
Horn was born on Sept. 12, 2002, meaning he’ll turn 23 around the start of the 2025 NFL season.
What School Did Horn Go To?
Horn attended Seminole High School in Florida, where he excelled as a football player and track athlete.
Revisiting Horn’s College Career
Horn played four seasons in college, the first two of which were at South Florida. Horn played 23 games over those two years, catching 67 passes for 959 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed 14 times for 107 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability with the ball in his hands.

His 2023 season was the most impressive of his college career. Having transferred to Colorado, Horn caught 58 passes for 567 yards and six touchdowns. He followed that up with 37 catches for 447 yards and a single touchdown in 2024.
While consistently overshadowed by Hunter on the offense, Horn excelled as a kick returner. Over his four-year college career, Horn returned 33 kicks for 716 yards and a touchdown, averaging 21.7 yards per return. He also added 14 punt returns for 90 yards over the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
How Fast Was Horn’s 40-Yard Dash?
At the 2025 NFL Combine, Horn recorded a 40-yard dash time of 4.46 seconds. While not electric, given his size, the time backs up the on-field speed he showed throughout his college career.
Horn’s NFL Outlook
Horn’s projects to be a late-round pick, but shouldn’t fall out of the draft altogether due to his return skills. Special teams is the most obvious path for the NFL action for the former Colorado receiver, who could flash as a catch-and-run specialist in the right system.
