Who Are the Jets’ Youngest Active Players? Top 10 Includes Braelon Allen and Olu Fashanu

The New York Jets are involved in a youth movement. The team drafted multiple 20-year-olds in the 2025 NFL Draft and said goodbye to Aaron Rodgers (41) and Davante Adams (32) earlier this offseason.

New York needs talent, whether it’s old or young, but adding as many young players as they have could create the foundation for success. Let’s examine who are the team’s youngest players.

Top 10 Youngest Active Players on the New York Jets

1) Azareye’h Thomas, Cornerback | age 20

The youngest player on New York’s roster is 2025 third-round pick Azareye’h Thomas. He won’t turn 21 until the summer, and he comes into the NFL after a three-year career at Florida State. In 2024, he posted 52 tackles, four pass breakups, and an interception.

2) Mason Taylor, Tight End | age 20

Continuing with the youth movement, the Jets selected Mason Taylor in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, the tight end played three years at LSU. Last season, he totaled 55 catches, 546 yards, and two touchdowns.

3) Armand Membou, Tackle | age 21

The team’s first-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, Armand Membou, was one of the highest-rated tackles in this year’s class. He appeared in 35 games over his three seasons at Missouri.

4) Braelon Allen, Running Back | age 21

Braelon Allen was the youngest player in the NFL in 2024 after the Jets made him a fourth-round pick. He played his entire rookie season at 20 years old. Allen totaled 334 yards and two rushing touchdowns, and added 19 catches, 148 yards, and a receiving score.

5) Francisco Mauigoa, Linebacker | age 22

A fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Francisco Mauigoa spent two years each at Washington State and Miami. He totaled 96 tackles, five pass breakups, an interception, and two sacks for the Hurricanes in 2024.

Keeping with New York’s trend of young running backs, Isaiah Davis was a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He was quiet for most of 2024 but came on strong after Week 13. He finished with 174 yards and one rushing touchdown while adding nine catches, 75 yards, and one receiving score.
