Jeremiyah Love is a running back from Notre Dame who is ranked No. 10 on my NFL Draft Top 100 Big Board. This comprehensive scouting report analyzes Love’s draft potential, current mock draft trends, and where he ranks among the top prospects.
Jeremiyah Love’s NFL Draft Potential
Jeremiah Love is the ultimate two-phase dynamo, and is safely my RB1 in the 2026 NFL Draft. Despite sharing touches with Jadarian Price in 2025, he’s kept his rushing and TD efficiency for the most part, and he’s already produced at a superior clip as a receiving threat, with 19 catches for 197 yards and three scores thus far.
At 6’0″, 214 pounds, Love has true blink acceleration working upfield through gaps, but he also knows how to use patience and tempo modulations to toggle and throttle through creases, using lateral manipulations to press and pin linebackers behind blocks. Love’s creative IQ, in tandem with his explosive athleticism, can be a death blow for over-aggressive defenses, but he also has the physical edge to meet safeties in the hole and truck ahead with his lean mass and targeted physicality. Giving off shades of Ahman Green, Love can be an instant starter and eventual star in the modern NFL.
CFB Week 9 Update
Notre Dame was on a bye in Week 9, but the Fighting Irish will return to action against the Boston College Eagles in Week 10. The bye week has likely no chance of stopping Jeremiah Love’s momentum, as he’s been on an absolute tear since his second game of the year. In his past six games, Love has racked up 726 yards — averaging over 120 yards per outing — and he’s coming off one of the best games of his career: A 228-yard outburst against Notre Dame.
A strong finish to the season will be crucial for the Fighting Irish if they want to maximize their chances of making the CFB Playoffs, and they’ll assuredly rely on Love to help them outpace each offense they face.
CFB Week 10 Update
It was more of the same from Love in Week 10, who dominated Boston College to the tune of 17 carries for 136 yards and two touchdowns. The best talents prove themselves to be a tier above the rest, and that’s what Love did in this game, in particular.
The highlight of this game for Love was a 94-yard house call, in which Love used his “toggle and throttle” style to oscillate ahead of his gap commit and get defenders to freeze, then exploded through the backside lane and weaved upfield through the crowd with his long-strider speed and bend. As a combined creative runner and dynamic threat, Love is separated at the top as the clear RB1 in the 2026 NFL Draft.
CFB Week 11 Update
Love met the standard in Week 11 against Navy, with expectations to do so. On an efficient 13 carries, he logged 94 yards and two touchdowns, while also taking a reception for 27 yards. Love’s hyper-elite explosive and creative elements stand out, but his driving physicality and contact balance is also a notable plus at his size. He remains separated as the clear RB1 in the 2026 NFL Draft.
