‘Jalen Ramsey Getting Cooked’ — NFL Fans Troll Steelers Star for Fighting With Garrett Wilson After Hitting Justin Fields

Jalen Ramsey, the newest addition to the Steelers, has been catching heat for his on-field antics after a dust-up with Jets receiver Garrett Wilson.

The newest chapter in the career of star cornerback Jalen Ramsey with the Pittsburgh Steelers has not gotten off on the right foot in Week 1.

In the Steelers’ opening-week matchup against the New York Jets, the former team of now-Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, things got chippy right out of the gates. In the midst of all the action, Ramsey made some questionable decisions, prompting fans to take to social media to troll the Steelers star.

Jalen Ramsey Involved in Scuffle with Jets Players

Near the end of the first half, Ramsey took an unnecessary shot at the Jets’ quarterback, Justin Fields. The quarterback’s newest weapon out wide, Garrett Wilson, who played alongside Fields at Ohio State, took exception to the hit and got into a scrap with Ramsey.

‘NFL Spotlight’ host Ari Meirov wrote on X: “Jalen Ramsey and Garrett Wilson got into it at the end of the first half. Context: Ramsey hit Justin Fields on the play before, which Jets players were not happy about.”

Fans took to X to poke fun at the situation. One fan said, “Ramsey and Wilson jawing? Things getting spicy!”

Another fan went as far as calling Ramsey a thug, saying, “Ramsey is a thug no suprise”.

Another fan joked about Ramsey’s attitude as the game progressed, saying, “Ramsey gonna be all sassy now, lol.”

Another fan poked fun at Ramsey’s play, saying, “Ramsey getting cooked but still trying to talk.”

Ramsey is no stranger to on-field altercations. Remember the 2020 incident? It was October,  the Rams defeated the Giants, and Ramsey was fined. It was because of a physical altercation with Super Bowl Champion Golden Tate. Tate spoke about the incident in June 2025.

This season, the Steelers’ defence has indeed been getting cooked in East Rutherford. With 32 points late in the fourth quarter, has the Jets’ offence been that good? Or is this new and improved Steelers defence really all that improved? Alas, it is only Week 1 of this new season; much remains to be seen.
