3-Time All-Pro Jalen Ramsey Drops Cryptic Message Slamming ‘False Narratives’ Amid Looming Dolphins Exit

With a trade from the Miami Dolphins on the horizon, All-Pro corner Jalen Ramsey went to social media to criticize the 'false narratives' written about him.

After spending two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, three-time All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey will play elsewhere next season. While his final destination is still unknown, the Dolphins have made it clear that they intend to move forward without him this upcoming season.

Rather than lying low and avoiding the spotlight, Ramsey is leaning into it on social media. Today, he posted a cryptic message on his Twitter account for the second consecutive day.

All-Pro Cornerback Jalen Ramsey Posts Cryptic Message Slamming ‘False Narratives’

On Tuesday, May 27, Ramsey tweeted for the first time in over a week. He posted the number five, followed by three dots. While innocent at first glance, many readers interpreted it as a countdown.

The Dolphins are financially incentivized to keep Ramsey on their roster until June 1. If they trade Ramsey before that date, they would incur a $25 million cap hit. However, if they wait until June 1, the cap hit will decrease to below $7 million.

One day after seemingly counting down his final days in Miami, Ramsey returned to social media. He took a break from his countdown to slam the “false narratives” written about him.

“The false narratives either lame or funny… don’t let it phase you. Wish well & blessings among em all anyways. This for anyone who needs it btw. Finish the week strong. Love yall forreal,” Ramsey said.

Ramsey is one of the more talented defensive backs in football, but his tenure with the Dolphins will ultimately be viewed as a disappointment. He suffered a torn meniscus during his first training camp in Miami, leaving him sidelined for most of his first season.

Although he made a strong comeback and started all 17 games last season, Ramsey was not the dominant player he had been in the past. He recorded 60 tackles (39 solo), one sack, and two interceptions on the season.

Ramsey Trade Market Heating Up

Despite a subpar year by his standards, Ramsey remains an effective player in the league. He is known to take unnecessary gambles, but can change the outcome of any game he plays.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently reported that Ramsey is “drawing more interest than people realize.” The cornerback has been linked to teams such as the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington Commanders.

The Dolphins are seeking the best trade offer for Jalen Ramsey, but teams know he only wants to play for legitimate contenders. This narrows the options to about half of the league, simplifying the process. With the team and the player looking for a fresh start, expect Ramsey to be traded sooner rather than later.
