Jadarian Price’s NFL Draft Potential

Jeremiah Love is the headliner in Notre Dame’s backfield, but the Fighting Irish have another potential Top 100 pick in Jadarian Price. Price doesn’t have Love’s receiving versatility, but Price’s explosive athleticism and creative IQ are similarly strong. At 5’11”, 209 pounds, Price is a tough runner, but he nonetheless excels in pass protection, and he has the lateral freedom and cutting flexibility to offset and capitalize on defender manipulations between the tackles.

CFB Week 9 Update

Notre Dame was on a bye in Week 9, but they’ll return to action against Boston College in Week 10. Against the ailing Eagles, Jadarian Price will once again have plenty of opportunities to compound the momentum he’s built as a 2026 NFL Draft prospect in 2025.

CFB Week 10 Update

While his teammate Jeremiah Love ran wild against Boston College, Jadarian Price secured just half of Love’s carries with nine, and averaged less than two yards per attempt, for a measly 17 yards on the day. Price didn’t prove as sharp or as efficient as Love in manipulating gap looks and getting upfield, and therein may lie the difference between them as prospects.

Price is an explosive creator and a good utility back to have, but Love’s more consistent use of set-up space and his enhanced dynamic ability on the vertical plane, as well as his receiving ability, expands the possibilities for him as the ball carrier.

CFB Week 11 Update

Jadarian Price spelled Love in Notre Dame’s lopsided victory over Navy, accruing 10 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown – the latter of which was an efficient “plant-and-go” red-zone run where Price’s instant explosiveness and keen gap vision came up big.

Love has Price visibly beat with his physicality, pass-game versatility, and overall creative IQ, but Price still stands out as a quality mid-round RB target with similar dynamism on the lateral and vertical planes.

CFB Week 12 Update

Price was once again relegated to a secondary role behind Love, taking just eight carries for 21 yards—an under three-yard average per attempt. He made up for his lacking run game impact in other ways—particularly as a kick returner. But Love dominated the workload for the Fighting Irish, and understandably so; you simply can’t take the ball away from that kind of talent.

Therein lies the difference between Love and Price as NFL Draft prospects, but Price will have more chances to spell Love and prove himself in the CFB Playoffs—assuming the Irish take care of business and lock in their spot.

Where Is Price Being Selected Most Often in the PFSN Mock Draft Simulator?

Price currently holds the No. 82 overall rank among prospects, reflecting his standing among mid-round prospects. His most recent Average Draft Position (ADP) of 77.8 as of November 19 reflects that he is typically being selected on Day 2 or early Day 3.

This small gap between rank and ADP suggests he’s consistently valued among evaluators, even amid fluctuations in player evaluations at this stage of the draft cycle.

Users controlling the Kansas City Chiefs have been the team that selected Price the most frequently over the past week, accounting for 1.6% of their picks across all seven rounds.
