First-year Jacksonville Jaguars general manager James Gladstone made a splash early in the 2025 NFL Draft by trading a haul of picks to land Travis Hunter with the No. 2 overall selection. In doing so, he’s given rookie head coach Liam Coen a serious arsenal of weapons heading into the 2025 season.
Jacksonville Jaguars Wide Receiver Depth Chart
It still remains to be seen how the Jags will handle Hunter’s workload as a two-way player, as, according to PFSN NFL Draft analyst Ian Cummings, the generational prospect is both the best cornerback and best wide receiver in the class. ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that Jacksonville does plan to play him on both sides of the ball.
Jaguars are expected to play their first-round draft pick Travis Hunter on offense and defense. They will on-board him by giving him a heavy dose of the wide receiver position while still playing him at his more natural position on defense. Two positions for pick No. 2.

When he is on offense, though, Hunter will look to alleviate some defensive attention from the team’s 2024 first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr., along with Gabe Davis, Dyami Brown, Parker Washington, Joshua Cephus, David White Jr., and Louis Rees-Zammit.
Who Is Brian Thomas Jr.?
Thomas Jr., an LSU product — widely seen as “Wide Receiver U” — racked up 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns on 87 catches as a rookie in 2024.
What made the performance even more impressive was the fact that Trevor Lawrence missed much of the season due to injury. Thomas Jr. caught most of his passes from backup Mac Jones and still earned a Pro Bowl nod.
Who Is Gabe Davis?
Davis joined the Jaguars in free agency in 2024 after four roller-coaster years with the Buffalo Bills, during which he totaled 27 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound receiver struggled in his first year in Jacksonville, playing just 10 games and finishing with 239 yards and two touchdowns.
Who Is Dyami Brown?
Brown hasn’t played a snap for Jacksonville yet, having signed this offseason from the Washington Commanders.
He had his best NFL season in 2024 with rookie QB Jayden Daniels under center, catching 30 passes for 308 yards and one touchdown in the regular season. He then broke out with 229 yards and a touchdown in three postseason games.
Who Is Parker Washington?
Washington was a sixth-round pick out of Penn State in 2023. He flashed potential during his sophomore year in 2024, finishing with 390 yards and three touchdowns.
Who Is Joshua Cephus?
Cephus went undrafted in 2024 after a productive college career at UTSA. He was waived and spent the 2024 season on the Jaguars’ practice squad. He’ll compete for a roster spot in 2025.
Who Is David White Jr.?
White signed as an undrafted free agent in 2024 out of Western Carolina University. Like Cephus, he spent last season on the practice squad.
Who Is Louis Rees-Zammit?
Rees-Zammit, born in Wales, was a standout rugby player in England and for the Welsh national team.
He entered the NFL through the International Player Pathway program and was originally signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as a running back. After being waived in the preseason, he joined the Jaguars as a practice squad wide receiver.
The Jaguars are making bold moves for the 2025 season! 🚨 By trading up for Travis Hunter, Jacksonville has added a rare talent capable of dominating both as a wide receiver and cornerback. With his versatility, the Jags’ offense and defense just got significantly more dangerous. 🔥 Can’t wait to see how Hunter’s two-way role plays out this season! 🏈
