Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson has established himself as one of the NFL’s premier pass rushers, recording back-to-back 17-sack seasons. He’s off to a strong start in 2025 as well, recording four sacks in six games.
While fans closely follow his on-field dominance, many are also curious about his personal life, specifically, whether he is married. The answer is yes.
Who Is Trey Hendrickson Married To?
Hendrickson is married to Alisa Chernomashentsev, a highly accomplished professional with a strong background in pharmacy and healthcare. Alisa earned a Doctorate in Pharmacy and a Master’s in Healthcare Informatics from Lipscomb University.
She also completed a PGY-1 Pharmacist Residency at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center from July 2023 to June 2024. She has gained experience as a pharmacy intern for organizations such as Kroger and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Interestingly, Alisa was previously an athlete and has worked as a figure skating and fencing instructor.
Hendrickson and Alisa’s story began in their teenage years. According to The Athletic, they first met on a Caribbean cruise in 2013, when Hendrickson was on vacation with friends after high school. The two connected instantly but lost touch after returning home. Fate intervened six years later, in 2019, when Hendrickson reached out to Alisa, sparking a renewed connection that soon turned romantic.
“He had to grow up and experience life,” Alisa said. “But when we came together again as adults, it was God’s timing, and it was just perfect.”
On June 13, 2020, Hendrickson announced his engagement to Alisa, sharing photos of the beachfront proposal with the caption, “She said Yes!” The couple married shortly after, exchanging vows on July 5, 2020. Hendrickson has occasionally shared glimpses of their wedding on social media, especially around their anniversaries, but generally keeps their personal life private.
Alisa’s professional achievements have continued to impress Hendrickson. Following her graduation from Lipscomb in 2023, Hendrickson celebrated her accomplishment on Instagram, writing: “CONGRATULATIONS to my beautiful Wife on accomplishing your Doctorate of Pharmacy along with a Masters in Healthcare Informatics at Lipscomb! You never cease to amaze me!”
Outside their careers, Hendrickson and Alisa work together to give back to the community through the Hendrickson Hope Foundation, reflecting their shared commitment to helping others. Their partnership, both personally and professionally, highlights a balance of love, ambition, and service.
On the field, Hendrickson continues to perform at an elite level, recording four sacks, one forced fumble, one pass defended, 15 tackles, and eight quarterback hits through six games. He currently ranks 36th in PFSN’s EDGE Impact metric. Despite his strong production, the Bengals have declined to offer Hendrickson a multi-year contract extension, leaving open the possibility that he could be playing elsewhere by the 2026 season.
