Taylor Swift’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been one of the most discussed stories of the NFL season, with plenty of dialogue surfacing around her numerous appearances at his games.
Swift’s concert in Tokyo on Feb. 10 led some to speculate she would not be able to make it back in time for Kelce and the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 58 showdown with the San Francisco 49ers. Some help from the international dateline, however, got Swift back stateside with plenty of time to spare ahead of the big game’s 5:30 ET kickoff at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Taylor Swift’s Journey to Las Vegas for Super Bowl
Swift has been playing show after show since beginning her Eras Tour on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Ariz. Her latest stint of performances has spanned Feb. 7-10 in Tokyo, with four separate shows spanning three and a half hours in length.
With Saturday’s show beginning at 6 p.m. local time in Japan, thus leaving Swift done around 10 p.m., it seemed unlikely that she could make it to Las Vegas in time for the 5:30 p.m. ET kickoff of the Super Bowl, given a flight time of 12+ hours from Tokyo to Vegas.
That’s where time change plays into Swift’s favor, however.
Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas, and thus, Swift’s concert actually began at roughly 1 a.m. in Las Vegas’ time zone. That gave Swift plenty of time to leave and arrive Saturday evening or night, depending on departure time … well before Sunday evening’s kickoff time.
Swift ultimately flew into Los Angeles International Airport from Tokyo, arriving there on Saturday around 8 p.m. PT with plenty of time to reach Las Vegas. Google Maps estimates the drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to take right around four hours, depending on traffic, if Swift is indeed making the final portion of the trip by car, as has been speculated.
Still, it’s certainly a demanding trip schedule, as Swift will have traveled for somewhere in the neighborhood of 16 hours when all is said and done.
She ultimately made it in plenty time for the game and was seen walking into the stadium alongside fellow celebrities Ice Spice and Blake Lively.

Her travel schedule that will not ease up for her anytime soon, either. The singer is next set to perform in Melbourne, Australia, on Feb. 16-18 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. She will have to head back across the international dateline in the coming days for those performances in just the latest part of her worldwide tour.
For now, though, her focus lies on watching her boyfriend, Kelce, go for his third Super Bowl ring in Sunday’s clash with the 49ers.
