Two years after capturing the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award, Joe Flacco is once again proving his longevity in the league, starting as many games in 2025 as he did during his memorable stint with the Cleveland Browns. While the on-field results haven’t quite matched that magical run, Flacco’s life away from football remains as steady and fulfilling as ever.
The veteran quarterback has been married to his childhood sweetheart, Dana Grady, for over a decade. Together, the couple shares five children and has built a close-knit family that has supported Flacco throughout every stage of his NFL journey.

Dana Grady was born on Feb. 24, 1985, to Daniel Grady and Deborah Grady. She has three siblings, Zachary, Sara, and Lisa. She and her other siblings attended Audubon High School in Camden County, New Jersey.
Flacco and Dana were classmates at Audubon High, where their relationship began during their senior year. The couple stayed together through college, and years later, Flacco proposed. They tied the knot on June 25, 2011, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, loyalty, and shared roots.
Flacco and Dana are proud parents to five children: Stephen, Daniel, Francis, Evelyn, and Thomas, all born between 2012 and 2018. Their second-eldest, Daniel, arrived just months after Flacco led the Baltimore Ravens to victory in Super Bowl XLVII, a moment Flacco has often described as one of the most special years of his life.
Fatherhood, Flacco admits, has completely reshaped his priorities. “It’s definitely changed how I spend time in the offseason,” he once said in a Ravens promotional video. “Me and my wife look at each other and wonder what we did before we had them, because you’re just wrapped up in those guys. It’s been a lot of fun.”
Now in his 18th NFL season, Flacco’s career has taken the family across the country: from Baltimore to Denver, New York, Cleveland, and now Cincinnati. Yet, through every move, Dana has remained the steady force behind the veteran quarterback, helping create a sense of home and normalcy for their five kids.
“They [the kids] are a really cool age, they want to hang out, they want to throw the ball around. My son brought a ball to the hotel,” he said in a 2023 press conference. “There’s definitely things like that that you miss. But, listen, there’s no better profession than the NFL to spend time with your kids and have them be a part of it.”
For all his accolades on the field, Flacco’s proudest role remains off it as a devoted husband and father. Supported by Dana’s quiet strength and unwavering love, the quarterback continues to balance football and family with humility, gratitude, and grace.
