The Chicago Bears have a tough schedule to end the season, and their first test of the final stretch is the Philadelphia Eagles. They have put together a strong showing in the first half, holding the Eagles to just three points. The Bears’ offense has threatened, but outside of one clinical drive, hasn’t been super effective. The passing game hasn’t been efficient, and DJ Moore has been quiet in the first half.
DJ Moore’s Slow Start
Moore has been a non-factor in the first half for Chicago. The passing attack has been almost nonexistent, but the Bears have the lead. Moore is not hurt and has been out there searching for an opportunity to make an impact. The star receiver has been targeted twice, but has no catches or yards. Moore is looking to avoid his second performance of the season, where he has not caught a pass.
Moore is one of the top receiving targets for Chicago, and was great for the Bears in Week 12. He found the end zone twice and played a pivotal role in their victory over the Steelers. Moore bounced back from a few bad games with that performance. They have to get him involved in the second half to help them secure a massive win in their playoff and divisional races.
But the Bears are running the ball with ease in the first half. The Bears have 142 rushing yards in the first half and have been controlling the game through the trenches. The weather in Philadelphia is windy and cold. It is affecting how the Bears are operating as they are relying on the run game instead of trying to make tough throws into the wind.

Moore is the 55th-ranked wide receiver in PFSN’s WR Impact metric with an impact score of 73.0. The Bears haven’t gotten him involved in every game, and he has not recorded a game with over 100 yards in the 2025 season.
The Bears would love to get Moore going in the passing game. Chicago needs to get into a groove, as each game will become increasingly important. The NFC North race is going to go down to the wire with the Green Bay Packers right behind the Bears. The Lions could play their way into the race as well.
Chicago would put itself in a great position to secure their playoff spot with a win, and Moore could play a big part in that with a big second half.
