The Indianapolis Colts have one of the youngest rosters in the NFL. The team infused their ͏2025 roster with young talent through recent drafts headlined by tight end Tyler Warren and running back DJ Giddens.
Here’s a͏ look at the 10 youngest players currently active on ͏the Colts from youngest to oldest, ͏all aged 23 or younger.

1. DJ Giddens, RB – Age 21
Giddens was selected 151st overall by the Colts in the 2025 NFL Draft. He is a versatile running back who can impact the game as both a runner and a receiver. Giddens runs with a physical style, displaying excellent balance and the ability to break tackles in tight spaces.
2. JT Tuimoloau, DE – Age 21
Tuimoloau was deemed one of the safest edge rushers in the 2025 NFL Draft and was selected 45th overall by the Colts. A former five-star recruit, Tuimoloau finally reached his potential in 2024 with a prolific campaign that included 12.5 sacks, 22 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and three pass deflections.
3. Hunter Wohler, LB – Age 22
Wohler was selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Colts. Standing at 6’2″, 213 pounds, Wohler was a standout performer at the Reese’s Senior Bowl in January, and then put together a nice campaign at the Scouting Combine in February with a 4.57s in the 40-yard dash.
4. Justin Walley, CB – Age 22
Walley, a four-year starter at Minnesota, was selected 80th overall by the Colts in the 2025 NFL Draft. In 42 starts, he recorded seven interceptions, 27 pass break-ups, three forced fumbles, and 155 tackles, earning a Freshman All-American honor in 2021, an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten player in 2023, and Second-Team All-Big Ten in 2024.
5. Riley Leonard, QB – Age 22
Leonard was selected in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Colts and will likely serve as a backup to Anthony Richardson. He transferred from Duke to Notre Dame for his final college season, completing 269 of 403 passes (66.7%) for 2,861 yards, 21 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
6. Tim Smith, DT – Age 22
Smith was also picked in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Colts, but it will be a tough battle for him to get some playing time next season. He’s, however, coming off an impressive career at Alabama, where he posted 125 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 64 games (32 starts).
7. Tanor Bortolini, G – Age 22
Bortolini was selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Colts and first started in their Week 4 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He appeared in a total of 12 games through the season after veteran starting center Ryan Kelly suffered a neck injury.
8. Tyler Warren, TE – Age 22
Warren is the prize of the Colts’ 2025 NFL Draft and was selected 14th overall. He combines an ultra-reliable clutch gene with all-encompassing offensive versatility and dominated with 104 catches for 1,233 yards and eight receiving touchdowns in 2024. He also added 218 yards on 26 carries, plus four rushing touchdowns.
9. Anthony Richardson, QB – Age 22
Richardson was selected fourth overall by the Colts in the 2023 NFL Draft but has yet to produce results. He’s won just one more game than he has lost so far in the NFL and finished the 2024 season with just 1,814 yards and eight touchdowns with 12 interceptions.
10. Jalen Travis, OT – Age 23
The Colts selected Travis in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He is coming off an impressive four-year collegiate career, and according to PFF’s metrics, out of 475 pass-blocking snaps, he surrendered only one sack and just 11 pressures.
