The Indianapolis Colts entered their Week 14 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with an 8-4 record. It was a high-leverage game for seeding, tiebreakers, and momentum, but the Colts were unable to capitalize on the advantage.
How Far Can the Indianapolis Colts Go?
According to PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor, coming into Week 14, Indianapolis had an 80.5% chance of making the playoffs, with an average projected win total of 10.7. Division odds sat at 41.4%, reflecting a tight AFC South race with the Jaguars and Houston Texans.
However, the Colts suffered a brutal 36-13 loss to the Jaguars, and also lost Daniel Jones in the process. The quarterback has likely suffered a season-ending Achilles injury, and it is a massive blow to their hopes of making the playoffs.
A Colts win in Week 14 would have elevated their chances of winning the division to 40.9% and strengthened their bracket position. The loss against the Jaguars has dropped their chances of winning the division to just 13.4%
While they still have a 52.9% chance of making the playoffs, their outlook doesn’t look good with Jones out injured. Moreover, Anthony Richardson Sr. is also hurt, and their only option available at quarterback is rookie Riley Leonard.

The Colts fans cannot even look forward to the draft, as they traded away their next two years’ first-round picks to the New York Jets to acquire Sauce Gardner.

A season that looked very promising for the Colts has turned into a disaster, and they can only hope that Jones recovers and is back healthy for the start of the next season.
Colts’ Remaining Fixtures
The Colts have these games left on their schedule:
- Week 15: at Seattle Seahawks
- Week 16: vs. San Francisco 49ers
- Week 17: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
- Week 18: at Houston Texans
The Jets fans will be tuned into the Colts’ remaining games of the season, and they’ll be rooting against the AFC South team to land a better draft pick.
It will be interesting to see if the Colts will try to add a free agent quarterback in attempts to save their season as they are still in a position to make the playoffs.
