IDP Fantasy Football Report: Waiver Wire Pickups and Early Week 4 Fantasy Football Rankings

Week 3 is in the books, and it's on to Week 4. In the weekly IDP Report, we'll look at waiver wire targets as well as early fantasy football rankings.

Week 3 of football is officially in the books, and it’s time to look ahead for our fantasy football leagues. The Week 4 IDP Report will provide an early look at several waiver wire priorities of varying league sizes and preliminary Week 4 IDP rankings.

Since all leagues are different sizes and have different IDP requirements, the weekly rankings might be more beneficial than the waiver list for even setting waivers. If you have any specific questions, hop into our Discord and ask me a question! Hope the waivers go in your favor.

Top Week 4 IDP Waiver Wire Pickups

Denico Autry, DE, Tennessee Titans

Not sure why Denico Autry isn’t getting more love in the IDP world. All he’s done is produce. He’s off to a fast start in 2023, already hitting 3.5 sacks on the season. He’s gotten at least a sack each week too, and this week he faces a Cincinnati Bengals team that has allowed five sacks in three games.

Tuli Tuipulotu, DE, Los Angeles Chargers

Tuli Tuipulotu has gotten off to a heck of a start to his rookie year. While I’m not sure he’s a locked-in starter weekly, he has earned a role regardless of Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa’s health. Tuipulotu has 11 tackles and two sacks over the last two weeks. The genie is out of the bottle, and you don’t put it back now.

Terrel Bernard, LB, Buffalo Bills

Terrel Bernard may have been overlooked due to the competition at MLB this offseason, but he should have everyone’s full attention now. After barely playing his rookie season, Bernard has 24 tackles, two sacks, two INTs, and a recovered fumble through three starts. Add and play him wherever you need LB help with confidence.

Kenneth Murray, LB, Los Angeles Chargers

If you played IDP for a few years and were skeptical of Kenneth Murray’s start, you aren’t alone. It’s getting hard to ignore the leap he’s taken in 2023. While the caveat of Eric Kendricks being out matters, Murray has posted 19 tackles in those two weeks. He played nearly a full-time role with Kendricks there too. He’s a worthwhile addition, but be careful playing him if Kendricks returns.

Brian Branch, CB, Detroit Lions

While I’m not normally one for CBs, Brian Branch continues to demand attention. With C.J. Gardner-Johnson out for a while, Branch jumped into a full-time role and had a game against the Atlanta Falcons. Branch posted 11 tackles while still mainly playing slot CB, but he saw 15 box snaps when the Detroit Lions went to a base package. Get the rookie on your roster.

Jabrill Peppers, S, New England Patriots

His numbers are nothing wild, but through three weeks, Jabrill Peppers has been a steady contributor. He’s played 85% of the New England Patriots’ snaps and appears to be the preferred deep safety, though not full-time.

MORE: PFN Consensus Rankings

He’s playing 60% of his snaps still near the line of scrimmage, and he has six or seven tackles in every game. He’s a solid second DB to get you steady points.

The Best IDP Players To Start in Week 4

Nick Bosa, DE, San Francisco 49ers

Nick Bosa finally arrived in Week 3. Bosa notched his first sack as he continues to ramp up his playing time after holding out through camp. Just keep throwing the highly-drafted star edge rusher out there and let him get another sack (or two) as the Arizona Cardinals come to town this week.

Kyle Hamilton, S, Baltimore Ravens

Finally, the real Kyle Hamilton showed up in 2023. After a couple of meh weeks for IDP managers, Hamilton popped off and showed the Derwin James Jr.-type ability he displayed at Notre Dame. Hamilton posted nine tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble in Week 3. Next up is the Cleveland Browns and their struggling OL, so stay in the flames in Week 4.
