Who Will Be Featured on The Pat McAfee Show 2025 NFL Draft Coverage?

McAfee will host the extravaganza. As always, joining him will be his crew of Connor Campbell, Tone Digs, and Ty Schmit, plus two former NFL players who play integral roles in the show’s success.

Pat McAfee

The Plum, Pa., native served as a kicker and punter. During his 51-game career at West Virginia, McAfee made 73.4% of his field goals and maintained a 43.7-yard punting average. This carried him to earning first-team All-American status, subsequently leading to the Indianapolis Colts drafting him No. 222 overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.

During an eight-year career (all with the Colts), McAfee averaged 39.8 net yards per punt, dropping 193 kicks inside the 20-yard line. The former Colt garnered Pro Bowl nods twice and All-Pro kudos once.

In 2017, McAfee retired from the NFL, citing knee issues. While he did attempt a comeback in camp with the Chicago Bears the same year, he decided to enter sports media. He joined Barstool Sports and Sirius XM Radio while he developed his own company, Pat McAfee Incorporated.

From there, McAfee collaborated with DAZN and Westwood One Radio. In 2023, “The Pat McAfee Show” made the move to ESPN and its platform.

A.J. Hawk

A.J. Hawk returns to the city that he helped win its last Super Bowl. For 142 games, the Kettering, Ohio, native operated in the center of the Green Bay Packers defense. After short stints in Cincinnati and Green Bay, Hawk retired as a Packer in 2017. During his 11 years in the NFL, Hawk tallied 946 tackles, nine interceptions, four forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries.

Before the NFL, Hawk enjoyed one of the greatest careers at Ohio State. As a linebacker, he reigned as the heart and soul of the Buckeyes’ defense. He was a three-time All-Big Ten and a two-time All-American linebacker.

In addition, Hawk took home the 2005 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, Lombardi Award, and Jack Lambert Trophy. In 2006, the Packers selected him No. 5 overall.

Darius Butler

During his nine-year career, the favorite son of Coral Springs, Fla., saw action with the New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, and the Colts, starting 42 of his 124 games played. The cornerback — a former teammate of McAfee’s — pulled down 15 interceptions, four pick-sixes, and made 334 tackles throughout his career.

Retiring in 2018, the former two-time captain at the University of Connecticut made the seamless transition to sports media. In addition to his regular spot on McAfee’s show, Butler hosts a podcast with former NFL safety Antoine Bethea.
