The Green Bay Packers came into the 2025 season with high expectations, positioning themselves as one of the NFC’s top Super Bowl contenders.
But recent injury news had fans holding their breath. Tight end Tucker Kraft, who has quickly emerged as one of quarterback Jordan Love’s favorite targets, injured his left knee during Thursday’s practice and was initially added to the injury report.
Tucker Kraft’s Injury: How Long Will He Be Out?
Early reports suggested he could miss multiple weeks, though the team believed it wasn’t season-ending.

Kraft, who had a breakout performance in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders with 124 receiving yards and a touchdown, faced a potential setback.
The initial reporting sounded worrisome, leaving fans and fantasy managers anxious about the Packers’ offense, which had already lost wide receiver Jayden Reed to a collarbone injury.
Packers TE Tucker Kraft will be added to the injury report after he sustained a knee injury in practice. Kraft is undergoing tests to determine the severity, but the Packers have reason to believe it’s not a season-ending type injury.

However, more recent updates have brought a sense of relief.
According to a Adam Schefter post on X, Kraft’s injury was “a little scare but all good,” with another source adding, “I think he will be OK.”
Ian Rapoport also added that Kraft suffered just “a little knee tweak” and checked out fine after testing, according to a source. While he may still miss a short period of time, the Packers appear to have avoided a serious injury, and Kraft should return sooner rather than later.
Tucker Kraft only “tweaked” his knee and could still play Sunday against the Browns, sources tell me and @DMRussini. Nothing definitive about Sunday in Cleveland, as how Kraft feels tomorrow will be important.

Kraft did not practice on Friday and was officially listed as questionable for Week 3. However, on Saturday, NFL insider Tom Pelissero confirmed that the Packers tight end is expected to play on Sunday.
Green Bay 2-0 So Far, Looking To Continue Success Without Key Players in Offense
Even with the injuries, Green Bay is still 2-0 and considered a serious playoff candidate. Although Kraft’s lengthy absence represents a setback, the hope is the Packers will be able to continue their winning ways in his absence and welcome Kraft back once he’s good to go.
When healthy, Kraft is still one of the Packers’ most potent weapons because of his combination of blocking skills, receiving ability, and big-play potential.
Overall, the Packers are projected to achieve a double-digit win total this season, giving them a solid shot at the postseason for the third year in a row and a chance at the NFC North title.
Much of their success will hinge on how well Love continues to develop alongside Josh Jacobs, how new edge rusher Micah Parsons shakes up the defense, and the stability of the coaching staff.
All the Packers can do for now is adjust and prepare for the upcoming game against Cleveland. The organization’s expectations remain the same, and as they wait for further word on the severity of the injury, they can only hope Kraft can make a fast recovery and continue to help the team return to its former glory.
