New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers was simply a highlight reel on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Nabers was a key part of Giants quarterback Russell Wilson’s 450-yard passing game as the Giants put together a furious fourth-quarter comeback.
Despite the comeback, the Cowboys were able to send the game into overtime on a Brandon Aubrey 64-yard field goal as time expired. Aubrey then hit a 46-yard field goal as time ran out in overtime, giving the Cowboys a 40-37 victory.
The Giants and Cowboys had four lead changes in the fourth quarter alone. But Nabers made sure that the Giants would have a little more time to play at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
How Did Malik Nabers Do Against Cowboys?
For the game, Nabers had nine catches for 167 yards and two touchdown receptions.
In the second quarter, with less than six minutes to play in the first half, Nabers went up and made a circus catch for a 29-yard touchdown pass from Wilson. Wilson threw the ball toward the far part of the end zone, and Nabers reached up in the air and pulled the ball down.

But the Malik Nabers show had even more magic left in the tank. The Giants were down 34-30 with less than a minute left in regulation. New York had the ball at the Dallas 48-yard line. Wilson took the snap and ran back to the Giants’ 43.
Wilson then heaved the ball downfield, where Nabers got a step on two Cowboys defenders and brought the ball into his chest while falling down. This touchdown catch will probably go into the Week 2 highlight reels all over the sports world. It’s an incredible catch and gave the Giants a lead which, for them, faded quickly.

In his first game last week against the Washington Commanders, Nabers had five catches for 71 yards and no touchdowns.
Nabers added to his stat sheet in the second half, but it didn’t lead the Giants into the win column. Giants head coach Brian Daboll might be hearing about the loss from Giants fans after the game. But Nabers provided a much-needed boost to the New York offense and helped Wilson have quite a day against the Cowboys.
