Hawai’i 2023 NFL Draft Scouting Reports
Ilm Manning, OL
Strengths: Sixty-game starter at left tackle who projects to guard or center in the NFL. Blocks with good lean, stays square, and effectively uses his hands. Strong, keeps his feet moving, and turns defenders from their angles of attack or tosses them to the ground. Makes good use of angles, works to get a pad on opponents, and moves relatively well. Fluid to the second level and always looks for someone to hit.

Weaknesses: Must do a better job bending his knees and blocking with leverage. Lacks footwork and range off the edge at left tackle. Not a zone-blocking lineman.
Overall: Manning was productive and durable the past five years at Hawaii, but he comes with average size and athleticism. He’s an intelligent prospect who should seamlessly transition to the interior offensive line. However, Manning must do a much better job blocking with leverage to have any shot of sticking on an NFL roster.
