What Is The Halftime Show at the Buccaneers-Falcons Game?

On Thursday, the Buccaneers are staging a big celebration of franchise history as part of their “Creamsicle” festivities, which honor 50 seasons of Tampa Bay football. The team will recognize members of the original 1976 squad throughout the night and spotlight Buccaneers Cheerleading alumni during in-game segments and stadium activations.

The centerpiece of the evening comes at halftime, when Raymond James Stadium will host a drone show presented by GEICO, according to buccaneers.com.

Designed specifically for the franchise’s golden-season celebration, the show will have 1,000 synchronized drones tentatively forming 12 custom scenes above the north scoreboard. The choreographed aerial display is expected to last roughly eight minutes and will highlight iconic imagery tied to the club’s history, colors, and fan traditions. It will be the first drone show ever staged at the stadium and is positioned to be one of the most visually ambitious halftime experiences in the Bucs’ history.

This presentation also tied into GEICO’s broader slate of seasonal events in the Tampa Bay region, including its sponsorship of “Santa’s North Pole Experience” at Busch Gardens. For fans attending Thursday night’s game, the drone show is expected to serve as a signature moment of the 50th-anniversary celebration.

Meanwhile, on the field, both teams enter with pressing concerns. Atlanta wide receiver Drake London (knee) did not participate in practice on Monday or Tuesday. In contrast, Tampa Bay receivers Mike Evans (collarbone) and Chris Godwin (fibula) were limited earlier in the week. The Buccaneers remain in control of their path to the postseason and can secure the NFC South by winning their final four games, including a matchup with the Carolina Panthers, with whom they are currently tied.

Statistically, the Buccaneers average 23 points per game while allowing 25 points defensively. The Falcons enter with 19.4 points scored, while yielding 24.1 points per game.
