The New York Giants dropped another game to fall to 2-7. They couldn’t keep up with the San Francisco 49ers in a 34-24 road loss that wasn’t as close as the final score may suggest.
That’s why, with the November 4 trade deadline just hours away, general manager Joe Schoen might want to part ways with some of their veterans.
Giants Make Evan Neal And Jalin Hyatt Available
According to Giants insider Jordan Raanan, the team is open to trading OL Evan Neal and WR Jalin Hyatt.
“The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 pm: The Giants have talked to teams in recent weeks about OL Evan Neal and WR Jalin Hyatt being available, per sources. Neal was active for his first game this year on Sunday and Hyatt returned kickoffs,” Raanan wrote on X.
Then again, it’s not like they’re ready to waive the white flag. Despite their losing record, they still want to give Jaxson Dart another weapon. Even so, the rumors about Jaylen Waddle might not come to fruition:
“They’ve also had conversations with teams about available WRs. But as Adam Schefter reported the Dolphins trading Jaylen Waddle is ‘highly unlikely,'” he added.

The Giants showed signs of life with Dart at the helm, but losing star rookie RB Cam Skattebo for the season was a massive blow to their offense.
Their rookie quarterback looks like a star in the making, and with Malik Nabers also out for the year, they need to give him a playmaking wideout to put him in a position to succeed.
As for their trade candidates, it’s hard to envision there will be much of a market for Hyatt, who’s made most of his damage on special teams. Through six appearances, he’s logged just three receptions for 17 yards, adding four punt returns for 111 yards.
Neal, on the other hand, has clearly failed to live up to the expectations as a former No. 7 pick. Even so, he’s just 25 years old, so he might benefit from a change of scenery and a clean slate somewhere else.
He could bring some positional versatility for teams looking for offensive line help. The Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns could both use a tackle, and as a former first-round selection, he’s clearly worth rolling the dice.
The Giants will hit the road to play the Bears on Sunday, looking to end a three-game losing streak against Ben Johnson’s beatable defense.
