Jaxson Dart has been a fan-favorite during his rookie season due to his exciting style and immediate success. The New York Giants quarterback has also recently been making even more fans for his actions off the field.
He recently spent time with young fans at New Jersey’s Pediatric Cancer Center for an early Halloween surprise. Even with a busy week of practice and game preparations, he still prioritized this special moment.
Jaxson Dart’s Halloween surprise for young fans in Week 9
Dart wasted no time proving his elite upside as a prospect when he was allowed to be a starting quarterback about a month into his rookie season. His skillset has sparked optimism around the Giants, while his recent off-the-field activity should capture the hearts of many fans.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz recently shared that the rookie showed up at New Jersey’s Pediatric Cancer Center dressed as Superman to spend time with some young fans and patients there. He included a video of him greeting Giuseppi, one of the children at the center, and the two warmly embraced.
>Many NFL players take time to give back to their communities and do charitable work, among many other honorable activities. Dart joined this movement, proving his value off the field and early accomplishments.
The rookie opened the season as the Giants’ QB2 after beating out Jameis Winston for the backup role behind Russell Wilson. It didn’t take long for him to take over as the starter in Week 4 after Wilson lost all three of his starts for his new team this year.
He won his first game despite a difficult matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, a playoff team from last season. He followed that up with a disappointing loss to the New Orleans Saints, demonstrating the inconsistencies of many rookie quarterbacks, especially those on weaker teams.
His most notable performance was likely his third start, when he defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, their NFC East division rivals, on Thursday Night Football. He helped the Giants earn a massive 34-17Â victory in a standalone game with the whole NFL world watching.
Dart has lost each of his two games since then, but he still looks impressive and should give Giants fans plenty of hope going forward. He has recorded 12 total touchdowns across his five starts with just three interceptions, implying a bright future in New York.
