Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift’s impending nuptials have commandeered the NFL spotlight during the offseason.
The couple was together in Nashville this week at the start of the annual Tight Ends University session headlined by the Chiefs’ star.
George Kittle Addresses Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s Wedding Rule
In an interview with “Extra TV” during the Tight Ends University concert, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle revealed the strict rule issued by Kelce and Swift (and how he plans to break the rule in a small way).
“They said absolutely no gifts,” Kittle said. “But Travis, for some reason, really likes old coins, so I might give him an old coin. It sounds expensive too. A wedding wish, just have so much fun with all of your friends.”
Kelce, Kittle, and sportscaster Greg Olsen are the three founding members of Tight End University, which brings together some of the best tight ends in the league annually and has a charitable component as well.
Swift surprised the guests at the “Tight Ends & Friends Concert” in Nashville on Tuesday with a rendition of “Love Story.” Last year, she performed ‘Shake It Off’ on the opening day of the session.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Kittle further lavished praise on Swift’s thoughtfulness during the concert despite her upcoming wedding.
“She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding,” Kittle said. “So we’re just so thankful that they’re here. She’s just hanging out, talking to my mom. Thanks mom. Shoutout Taylor for talking to my mom again. But she’s just so kind, and it’s awesome to have her around.”
Guests to Kelce and Swift’s wedding have reportedly signed non-disclosure agreements for the highly anticipated event, which is rumored to be held at Madison Square Garden on July 3. In an interview with Page Six last week, New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani opened up about Swift and Kelce holding their wedding in New York.
“We are the biggest city in the country,” Mamdani said. “We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one. We know it coincides with the Knicks’ Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding, all happening at the same time and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”
